Second visit here and it was just a nice as we remembered, if not better. This time as there were no other vans on site which is remarkable given its location, it was high season and its free! still that's just how we like it. The only downside to this location is the approach road which is narrow and windy. If you want somewhere peaceful but not too far away from the heart of the Dordogne region then this place is ideal. There were a few cars passing the farmhouse to what you would have assumed was a dead end but on investigation the road leads to a small beach on the river where people where picnicking and there was even a campervan which looked like it was wildcamping for the night right on the beach. I was probably a bit harsh with the ratings on my last review and although there have been no changes in facilities offered or the location, they do deserve a 10/10 as the site is free to stay.

A great site listed as Bienvenue a La Ferme but are also in the France Passion book. The approach is a bit twisty but we managed in a 7.5m van although we did get hit by a delivery van which broke our wing mirror, but that was not the fault of the site, but did put of a damper on our stay.
The river is only a short walk away with some great picnic spots.
Guided tours of the farm available with 'fois gras' tasting sessions (albeit only available in French)
In season there is a corn field maze just off site.
