Rated 4 star by ASCI BUT Not a 4 star site in my opinion... Hence quite expensive for what it was... AT 22 EURO per night with electric. ASCI price was slightly cheaper.

A large site with only 1 set of shower and toilets heated and of the 5 shower blocks 2 were closed. Non were that clean. Don't get me wrong if the price was cheaper then the above comments would have been acceptable.

Lovely area with a monastry a shirt walk up the hill.

Town is a good bus ride away at 1.20 euros

Well run campsite. Reception speaks English which helps! We'll it certainly does me!!
Everything nice and green after quite some time living on stone and sand. Good infrastructure. Hot showers. Good wcs. Gated security. Would quite happily stay here again. Early season price. E22.

Great RV friendly site. A little out of town but walkable and close to park land and a river. Please see my vlog review at https://youtu.be/lagkYAKo1NE

Not the prettiest of campsites but perfectly functional as a waypoint or overnight stop travelling north or south. Easy access to campsite and only a handful of campers this time of year so you take your pick of pitches. Getting rid of grey waste and filling up on fresh water is easily accessible as well, with the service point tucked away behind the facility blocks.

As it’s so empty, the dog was happy playing ball at the one end of the park as it’s just a big open field. Would definitely stay again as an ‘en route’ site.

Had a one night stopiver here in Janyary 2019 travelling to Malaga. Site is very easy to find & accomodates lots of pitches most with electricity & mainly grass.

Staff are friendly & there is a bar & restaurant on site whuch is good wuality & readonsbly priced

Pitvhes a little scruffy & many were muddy but it was January. No real segregation or privacy betweem pitches which didnt botger me for one night but could be a ptoblem gor longer stays

Tpulet & shower fsvilities are a bit dated but clean & well heated with plenty hot water

Would recommend this site as s stopover. We stayed one night on the way back to the Bilbao ferry. We walked into Burgos along a pleasant riverside path which took an hour. Cycling would be an easy 20 mins or so. There was also a bus from right outside the campsite, 4 times a day. The Catherdral is a “must see” if you intend to visit the city. The site itself is a little jaded. It could be muddy as all pitches are grassed. The toilet block was somewhat old fashioned but perfectly clean. The water was not exactly hot, but just about OK for a shower. We didn’t use the cafe or bar. Reception staff were helpful and spoke some English. We would use this site again on route.

As with other reviewers this is a perfect stop over for the spainish ferry crossings. Easy to find, good location for cycling into town. Site a little tired in places but still functional. Only one toilet block open during the winter months which is heated, clean and ok! Some of the best showers from our trip, big cubicles, lashings of hot water and mega powerful. Grass only pitches and plenty to choose from. Helpful reception staff. Bus x4 times a day into Burgos from right outside the site €1.20, timetable at reception. Will stay there again when en route to and from Spain.

Stopped for one night as a stopover when travelling down from France to Spain. Good location, and near main autoroute, although as we had dogs with us we didn’t visit the town. Facilities were good. Would use again

Municipal site but of good standard, plenty of pitches even in July. The on site restaurant was handy, good beer and the tapas is recommended. The shower block is old fashioned but clean with plentiful hot water. Good value at only 22 Euros and a site we would definitely use again. Flat walk along the river into Burgos. Bus from site entrance 1.20€ into the beautiful city of Burgos. Recommend the "train" to see all the monasteries up close.

Popular site as it is on the route south to Portugal. Pitches on a large open grassed area. Pitches under the trees are favourite for the shade. Toilet/shower facilities tired but clean and plenty of hot water. Small pool on site but it is only really a deep paddling pool. Great bar and restaurant on site - lovely tapas and fantastic takeaway paella. Regular bus service from site to centre of Burgos. Park next door with walking and cycling paths and a swimming "beach". €28 per night in July.

Spent 2 nights here for the Sampedro Fiesta. Unfriendly & brusque staff - seemed like everything, even just being there, was a problem! All pitches on grass & even at this time of the year, we had to try & choose one with the least mud. But 4km from town centre within easy cycling distance on well laid out, although in need of attention, cycle paths. Bells required as everyone walks on them as well as pedestrian paths! Lovely looking pool although we didn't use it and mostly clean ablutions.

If was fun watching people arrive and decide which pitch had the least mud on. Some took 4 attempts before SWMBO was happy. We renamed it the Burgos ploughing match. Reverse polarity and hap hazardly tripping electrics. On a positive note great runs for the dog just outside and nice riverside walk....polite staff and a convenient stop going to port.

Excellent Stop off en route to Portugal. We crossed from Portsmouth to Bilbao and found this site 2.5 hours drive from the ferry so was ideal for a first night stop over. We have dogs who loved the surrounding paths and cycle routes all nearby the city of Burgos. The on site restaurant was handy and the sea food paella is to be recommended. The shower block is old fashioned but clean with plentiful hot water. Good value at only 22 Euros and a site we would definitely use again.

Operated by the local authority, the site has an air of neglect which reminds me of East Germany in the 1970s, 6 amp electrics with old style plugs and check the polarity! Pitches are big though and Burgos is well worth a visit. The site directed us to a local vet who dealt with our pet passport for €12.

This municipal campsite is a real mixture but you should not miss the opportunity of spending at least a few nights. We used it as a stopover for our return ferry from Santander which is just over 2 hours away. The pitches are a fair size, once you find the boundary! All are on grass and depending where you park then some can be uneven. The shower blocks are clean and hot water is plentiful depending on what time of day it is and which blocks are open. There is a good bar serving lunchtime food

Stayed here using our ACSI card E17 a night , felt it was abit run down , but great for walking or cycling along the river approx five miles round trip to town. We liked the town, very hot when we were there, stayed for lunch and went on one of those little trains for a better view of the town. Also on the way to the town very nice local bar on the edge of the park with lots of locals BBQ their evening meals. we would recommend this for easy way to travel to the town. Wifi available in the site bar, which also had reasonable tapas food and cheap .

A lovely independent campsite, 3km from Burgos. It has a dedicated walking and cycling path along the river. The site has an English speaking receptionist, although will help you with your Spanish too. With our ASCI card,€17, which includes electricity. The internet is only €3 for 7 days constant use. Never known that before. The site is made up of two main avenues of grass pitches with plenty of bins and electrical hook ups. Lots of units have blocks for levelling, although it's not that bad really. For early March, it is surprisingly busy. There is a cafe and shop here too, although not check these out yet.

Good location for visiting Burgos, pleasant walk or cycle along the river. Bus also available for €1. Pitches all on grass - check ground carefully as some areas get wetter than others! Toilet and shower facilities could do with updating. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Quite a heavily wooded site so great if you want shade. Very limited menu in restaurant. Attractive small pool. Toilets and showers are upstairs so access difficult for less mobile. Bus only runs midweek and limited times so quite isolated at weekends
