Used this site for a one night stop over on the way from Dieppe to the West Coast near Bordueax.
Lovely site with great views over the Loire Valley - if you pay the extra but it is pricey!
Friendly staff, good facilities, will use again

A very pleasant site about 4 miles outside of Saumur and on and elevated position overlooking the Loire. Generous sized and shady pitches with drinking water taps close by. Very modern toilet and shower blocks, as well as dish washing and laundry facilities. Boules courts, children's playground and an excellent group of swimming pools. There is also a bar/restaurant that is open in July/August. The reception staff are all very friendly and helpful. You can order bread, croissants etc from there that you can collect from 8.30am the following day.

A great way to see the area is by bike, though be aware that the site is at the top of a hill.

Situated some distance outside Saumur in countryside location. Would not want to walk into Saumur as no pavements and country roads, but it is within cycling distance. Site was very friendly, clean and had good facilities, some if which were not open at the time of our visit (restaurant & swimming pool). Lovely views from the site over the river below.

Wonderful site - recommend the Loire View pitches. We stayed for a week early in September. Weather was good but windy in the evenings but the site and the view were fantastic. The staff were really helpful, even helping us book our next site back up in Normandy. Great base for touring the area.

This is a superb site - one of tthe best that I have visited in France and your stay will most definitely be enhanced if you have one of the 'Loire' pitches. There are about a dozen pitches on the northern edge of the site which look directly over the river and have wonderful views up and downstream. They usually cost an extra €5 per night but we have not been charged when the site is quiet. The site is set high above the river on the hills which run along the south side of the Loire. All the facilities are excellent! Spotless, heated shower rooms. Small Epicerie with a goodly selection of local produce (including wines from the sites own vineyards). Bread etc from reception everyday. As an ACSI site you can get a full list of the facilities on their website. Saumur is nearby with its huge Weds market. The Loire a Velo cycle route runs past the site and there are loads of walking possibilities in this lovely area.
