Just back from Smytham Manor which we visited as we wanted to cycle the Tarka trail. We stayed on a standard grass pitch. To begin with I was horrified at the small amount of toilets (4 ladies) and showers (3) BUT there's a brand new superb looking shower block opening later this week. The welcome was superb and when I enquired about the local wildlife they couldn't have been more helpful. The site does go straight onto the Tarka but the trail to actually get there is worthy of a mountain bike trial itself!! Nice well kept site with a large playing area for football etc and the playground was well used . The bar is open daily from 5pm and a curry van visits on Mondays, pizza on Thursday.

Visited Smytham in May this year. The site has a range of pitches. We opted for a hard standing with full facilities including an en-suite. The pitches are large and well spaced out. The en-suite was clean and included shower, loo, wash hand basin and an outside washing up facility. The site is adjacent to the Tarka trail with direct access for cycling and walking. On site there is a small shop and a bar open on Friday and Saturday evening. It also has an outdoor pool. Great site.
