lovely campsite, ASCI accepted for pitches at front of campsite near road but ones nearer lake not ASCI, worth paying extra for view of lake, but not essential.View all reviews by craigandjane
the facilities in ladies bathrooms we're unbelievable a merry-go-round in ladies/family wash rooms! what more can be said, very child orientated.
shame bar shut weekend before we arrived.
lake was amazing to swim in
lovely facilities, definitely one to take the kids to- shame ours are all grown up
As previous comments, we stayed on one of the ACSI allocated pitches, didnt think it was worthwhile to pay extra for a pitch closer to the lake. The ablution blocks are top class, there is even a family room which is excellent.View all reviews by paulholt57
Reception staff were very helpful. There is a large shop on site plus a bar. There are also restaurants within half a mile.
On Thursday evening 5 till 10pm there is a Farmers market in Faak em See, about 1.5 miles away, worth visiting.
Arrived and spent 3 days here after a recommend from Sue Cooper. This is a lovely, but huge holiday park on the most amazingly clean and clear lake. Good pitches, if a little too close together, with EHU, water and grey waste on. We treated ourselves to a lake side pitch and had a great time. The facilites are spotless, supermarket is good and there is a pub resturant out front. Be aware though that Camping Arneitz holds public events out the front and potentially can be busy. When we were there they were hosting a 'Boy Racer' meet for the week, so lots of cars ripping up the roads, but police were in attendance so didn't feel dangerous. That said, the campsite is NOT open to members of the public so access is restricted to guests only. We would def return to Camping Arneitz and I would recommend it for the lake and the facilites. Austria is pricey though and we wished we had an ACSI card! 45Euro per night, but worth it.View all reviews by teaboat1973
When we were there there was a huge VW rally on and so the road leading to the camp was completely overtaken by VW's and it took over an hour to travel 2 miles from the motorway. Once we got to the site the receptionist said we could choose a pitch but don't go near the tents (the VW rallies were there). We were a bit concerned but there was no need. The site was quiet and clean with no sign of trouble whatsoever. If you are in this area in May be warned this is a yearly occurance. The site itself is one of the best we have ever been on. The facilities are superb and the whole site is spotless. We ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal with wine and it was plentiful and cheap. Cannot recommend this site highly enough.View all reviews by suecooper
