Only parked for day.
Short walk into town and walks along river and over ancient bridge.
Silly bugger with a yellow hi-viz jacket and fake label tried to con me out of parking fee but didn't have receipt!
Very clear signs saying no motorhomes allowedView all reviews by rbrisk
We visited on a very busy sunday and parked in the other area as directed by the police. Noticed the sign on this car park stating no parking for motorhomes. However there were some in there.View all reviews by irishwales
This is a great place to visit, but not sure if i would stay over night again, the town is great, the view from the car park was lovey overlooking the medieval bridge, but there was noise from the bars with youths shouting up to and past midnight, we only stopped one night and was going to stay another but decided to move on, such a shame.View all reviews by splat
Good value for money as it was free, no facilites but there was a dumping station about a kilometre away, the place had a great feel to it.
Free parking next to the river. Access for motorhomes is by the bridge and not the narrow entrances from the promenade. Car park very busy and when there is a market it is not possible to park. Touristy village full of lots of shops and restaurants. However we found that on a Wednesday night most were closed by 10pm and the town very quiet. Nice walk across bridge to Igreja Matriz Church and pleasant square with bars and a pilgrims hostel.View all reviews by sallyr1964
Compacted earth mix parking spaces facing river and beautiful old Roman bridge, just 50 yards to town with lots of small shops, cafes and restaurants. There were many types of birds in and on the river including a stork that kept coming right in front of our van to look for nesting materials, it must have known they were my favourite bird. Lovely walk alongside the river and a small church across the bridge.A man at the entrance asks for 2 euros and comes to the vans if he's missed you.View all reviews by tinka
There's a NOS shop in town that sells NOS data SIM's with 5G internet, €31 for unlimited internet for 30 days. A great deal and the young lad in the shop spoke great English and was very helpful.View all reviews by garyf
There's a Lidl just outside of town, clothes shops, DIY and gardening and a couple of great fruit and veg shops behind the main street. Some lovely gardens and parks etc and see if you can spot the horseman riding into the river...
An excellent free parking spot on the banks of the river Lima. Huge bi-monthly Monday market can make access difficult if you arrive when the market is on, just park up the street and wait for the stalls to clear. No services on the site but there are water taps accessible in the town. There is also a motorhome service point on the outskirts of the town on the N202 heading towards Darque, on the right approximately 500 metres after the cobbled road service stops.View all reviews by mel2588
Lovely free spot on the river, parking facing the town. No services but toilets available in the town itself which has many bars, restaurants and shops. Luckily we found ourselves in the middle of a Vinho Verdi festival so stayed for a couple of nights as a result. Town has a Roman bridge that you can walk across and nice walks along the river. Well worth a stop.View all reviews by barb2503
Unfortunately, after a lot of heavy rain the river was so swollen that we had to park in an adjacent huge car park for safety. The town is lovely with many quirky and interesting statues. Everyone we've spoken to have been very helpful and friendly. This is a great place to visit.View all reviews by jellybeanjan
great town with parking right by the river. We spent hours watching fishermen catching eels from small boats.Music comes out of speakers on the lamp posts . On some parts of the parking you can get free wifi. We have been here twice and will be back againView all reviews by peterpat
