Yes facilities are a little dated but really not that bad - came for 2 but stayed 4 nights - yes expensive in comparison to others but you are paying for 24 hour security along with city location - 2e on bus which might take 45-60 mins depending on rush hour but you get to see the locality- bought 48 hr yellow bus pass - gave 3 good tours of city + free use of trams which could take you places tour bus could not - good value although would have liked more commentary - some road noise- recommendeView all reviews by bslylad
CAMPER PITCH REVIEW:View all reviews by outlawcatcher
For me the facilities in this area is staid, old, not well maintained and decrepit in many instances ie no showerheads?
However if you use the camping pitches for your MH it is ‘only’ €16. EHU is included in this if you can get a spot with one nearby. It is hit or miss regarding a flat pitch however.
But it was like being in a Syrian refugee camp. There are decrepit motorhomes, scabby tents, caravans, buses and all sorts of things here. Most of these temporary homes are held together by the obligatory blue storm sheet with twine. Nobody talked much...or smiled either in this area. At one stage I was also offered some weed!
Good size pitches with water tap and sink. Each pitch has its own garden area with bench. The pitches are spread out. The facilities are basic but clean and functional. Get the 714 bus into Lisbon takes about an hour because of the traffic. An expensive site but great location we paid 31 euros per night with a 10% ACSI discount. Would definately stay again. There is a dog kennels next door that also does grooming and day care details are available in reception.View all reviews by Rewindthegap
At just a 2€ bus fare from the centre of Lisbon you cant really complain at the fee of Approx 25€ per night.View all reviews by essexfun4two
The pitches were flat concrete fully served pitches set in a forest park.
Clean facilities freindly staff small shop etc.
Great for city sight seeing. Huge shopping centre nearby too.
Stopped here for 5 nights. €26.90 but as we stopped 5 nights, we got €5.38 a night discount. Large site. The showers were old but clean and had mixer taps and could adjust the temp yourself. There is somewhere to hang your clothes but no shower curtain so you have to be careful not to get them wet. The laundrette €3.50 to wash and €4 to dry and pay at the supermarket till. There is a cafe and the supermarket has basic things in but beautiful bread rolls! Bus stop for Lisbon was outside the gates 724 bus. Supermarket near but all uphill. Taxi costs €3.50. Wifi only free by cafe/reception areaView all reviews by RARWestYorks
Needed somewhere to park while we visited the aquarium. 2 adults 2 kids €27 with our discount card. Chap at barrier kindly rang a taxi for us and it was a little over €12 each way. After aquarium we took the cable car one way and got a return taxi from the tower hotel. Generous check out of 4pm the following day.View all reviews by kanjipeg
Good quiet location, happy kids so worth the money for us.
We stayed here in order to visit Lisbon. Bus stops just outside the site. Expensive but paying for location. Facilities clean.View all reviews by margaretwhelan
You'll never not get a pitch at this site! There are literally hundreds, and if you come in a tent, make that thousands! It's enormous. Review wise everyone below has said it exactly as it is. They can charge so much because of where it is. It's a site available to allow you to see a capital city, so it's expensive! Can be very noisy from roads and neighbours though.View all reviews by steandann
Good city break site. All pitch 's have tarmac standing, with ehu, water, drainage, bins & a table. Many are Shaded in trees. Good pool, tennis courts & waif. Shop limited but supermarket 15 min walk near Decathalon store. Easy acces to Lisbon, bus €1.85 ea, took about 50 mins. As 4 of us we got taxi back €8.50 & took 10 mins. Personally would do taxi every time at that price. Disappointed with Lisbon, I was expecting more. Just come from Porto which in my opinion was a lot better.View all reviews by plucas
Yes it's expensive even with ACSI, but there's a bus stop just outside the entrance that costs 1.85E per person each way into the centre of Lisbon. They were doing a lot of work on the cafe/shop area ready for the summer season, but shower/toilet facilities were good and clean. Plenty of info about Lisbon at reception. Look up the free walking tour (you give the guide what you think is an appropriate amount at the end of the walk), well worth the effort as Lisbon is a great city to walk around.View all reviews by barb2503
The campsite is ideally placed for visiting Lisbon. It's set in a hilly wooded area so the majority of pitches have shade. There's electric, drinking water, a sink and a pipe for disposal of grey waste. The Elsan point is at the far end of the site together with a drive over drain. For us it was a hike plus we were uphill. The pitches vary between quite tight and spacious so shop around if it's important. You also get a picnic table per pitch.View all reviews by janeattwell
The showers have abundant hot water and are adequate. Toilet roll is provided.
Cost wise its expensive at 31€ for 2, pitch & electric . You get 20% off for stays of 5 nights or more and 10% with ACSI. Best deal is Camping Cheque at 19€ per night.
There's a snack bar and a badly stocked mini market.
Bus into Lisbon from outside site runs every 15 minutes or so. Costs 1.85€ per journey.
Overall there's an air of shabbiness but it could be the season. The swimming pool opened whilst we were there and that had been cleaned up very well.
