What a find pub is! Level secluded car park right next to stream. Beautiful walks can be taken from here. We walked to nearby Alresford just for look. Also along the river path. Beautiful settings. The pub is lovely, as are the fantastic staff. No pressure to eat in, but we did. The food is superb. Lots of Ales to try too! Will be visiting again. No facilities except toilets in the pub.

Very Quiet and out of the way gastropub. Little or no phone signal. Lovely spot beside stream and river walks nearby. Car park would be pushed to take anything over 7m as carpark always busy. Pub does nice range of ales, typical gastropub food and prices.

What a lovely location right on the River bank. It even has a tributary alongside the car park. Be very careful which route you take to get here. Do not follow Sat Nav as it may take you down some very narrow and windy roads and 3 x 3T weight limit bridges so use the Brown Pub Signs from the main A31. A tired looking pub from the outside but really nice and cosy on the inside with log fires with plenty of seating areas. Friendly staff who made you feel welcome and absolutely no pressure to eat in. We did though and was good food, but a tad on the pricey side though. Great walks along the Itchen Way and great for Dogs etc. Big and level gravel carpark and plenty of room but slightly narrow entrance if cars parked by front door and can easily accommodate Large Motorhomes - high siders be careful as there are 2 big trees in the car park. Well worth a return trip when in the area.

this is a lovely place to stopover very friendly people that run the pub, you are on gravel car park very flat, right by a river which is lovely, lot of people about as its a popular place for walking, we asked if it ok to stop for two nights and they were fine with this, but we decided to move on the next day as I struggled to find anything I fancied on the menu in the pub for myself as I'm fussy eater, i ended up with fish and chips costing nearly £15 so meals were too pricy hubby happy with the steak, i no you don't have to buy a meal you can just have a drink but this is more of a restaurant so you felt obligated to buy. However bearing in mind we weren't charged for the motorhome it still worked out quite good with the price, I would return to this place in the summer to have a walk and sit in the beer garden.

This was our first ever pub stopover and what a great find. An olde world pub with beamed ceilings. The stopover pitch was in the car park at the back of the pub and set under trees next to a small stream which was lovely to wake up to. There was not charge for the stopover and when we asked the price they told us as long as you stop in for a drink that was OK. We had dinner in the pub that night and as its a bit of a gastro pub the food was very good. No EHU but we did see an outside tap.
