what a quaint little site well kept owner was welcoming on arrival . site does alliow dogs on .all they ask is you walk dogs off site due to certain dog owners not picking up.you do get slight road noise but not an issue to me. cant comment on facilities as closed due to covid 19. i would stay here again for 2 nights . nice easy walk to gretna green chapel . 5 mins walk to a newly built coop just down the road andv10 mins, walk to a chinese chippy butchers and bakers

The only good thing going for this site is that it’s reasonably close to the activity in Gretna Green but otherwise very dissappointed. Staff at reception was more interested in telling hubby the rules, not even a welcome. Electric hook-up: no household appliances to be used? Not dog friendly which is important to us, noisy road, extra payment for showers, deposit for barrier fob, not more I can say about this.

Basic , not really sutible for children , no play area , quite a few seasonal, might be noisy as seem to be house building around the site , (we were there on bank holiday)hotel next door for food, not used but can get 10% dicount apparently .co-op within walkking distance. Outlet shopping further on . Blacksmiths shop a bit of a walk but has spaces for motorhomes to park .

Arrived at short notice but no problem booking a pitch. Not cheap at £20, but then again not hugely expensive eithet and the facilities are nice and clean and working. No view from the pitch apart from other pitches. This site is an ideal stop off if you're travelling from England onto the further reaches of Scotland. We'd be happy to come back.

VERY WELCOMING STAFF/OWNERS , GOOD LOCATION FOR WALKING INTO GRETNA , NO FACILITIES FOR CHILDREN OR YOUNG FAMILIES , LOTS OF ROAD NOISE FROM THE A75 , EVEN THOUGH DOGS ARE FREE I FOUND THE SITE AND GRETNA IN GENERAL NOT TO BE VERY DOG FRIENDLY WITH NO PLACE TO EXERCISE THEM OFF LEAD OTHER THAN THE FOOTBALL GROUND CAR PARK , TOP SHOWERS HEATING NOT ON AND VERY COLD BUT THE HEATING WAS ON IN THE LOWER TOILET BLOCK , IN GENERAL ITS A FAIR SITE WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED BUT NO MORE , GOOD FOR A COUPLE OF NIGHTS AS A STOP OVER ....... SCORES
VALUE FOR MONEY 7 BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PAY A PREMIUM FEE YET HAVE TO PAY FOR SHOWERS ETC
RATE LOCATION 8 GREAT IF YOU NEED TO WALK INTO TOWN OR JUST DONT WANT TO MOVE YOUR VAN BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE ROAD NOISE
RATE FACILITIES 6 THE BASICS ARE ALL THERE BUT IN NEED OF SOME INVESTMENT AND MODERNISATION PLUS YOU EXPECT THEM TO BE HEATED IN DECEMBER , NOT REALLY FAMILY OR DOG FRIENDLY
RATE THE VIEW 2 IF YOU CONSIDER THE 6FT WIRE FENCE AND A CARAVAN STORAGE AREA A VIEW WELL THERE YOU GO

Good site for an overnight stop, it's only about 5 mins from the M6 motorway (which you could hear slightly during the night). Friendly helpful staff. The facilities perfectly acceptable although a little dated. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Stopped off in this site on the way home from collecting my new campervan. Big plus point is that it is very close to main England/Scotland road, so easy and quick to locate the site on your journey from South to North or vice versa. As has been said by others, the site has standard facilities, for the price, and is very clean and looked to be maintained well. The owners/managers are very helpful and friendly also. Very secure site with a barrier system in operation, so you can be reassured your precious motorhome will be safe if you are out and about. Toilets and showers were nice and hot, and with decent hairdryer in the block I used also. Walkable into the main part of Gretna, so handy location, but can be a bit noisy with being close to the major motorways - not a major issue however. Not great views, but looked to be some nice walks nearby, although I did not have the chance to experience any of them, unfortunately. Good site, no major issues.

Stopped here to break our journey further North. In hindsight I wish we hadn't.
it's not a bad site but there just isn't anything much going for it. Tired facilities but very clean.
