would be a great free Aire if not for the selfish folks parking too close. and we do not mean the usual closely parked. we went to town to come back to find a landrover parked in the space between us and the next van leaving less than a foot between us. then the next van moved to accomodate not only one but 2 of his friends cans. thank goodness there were no issues overnight.

that aside great spot for visiting town. you will need pliers for water as levers have been removed. quiet overnight.

several vans had parked in the coach bays and carpark still there at 9. might not be tolerated later in the season. would use again.

Tightly paked in, free but services not particularly clean etc. Smell of refuse if you park near the service area. Convenient though for adjacent motorway. Quiet which is also a bonus. Try to arrive early is prob useful too as is it is free.

All full at the lower parking area, so we joined 6 vans parked in the coach bays at the top. No problems for us but we were away for 8am. Services in lower carpark area were quite dirty and cramped. Lidl, Aldi, Dia and Mercadona supermakets about 1km walk away.

On the positive side its free. Parking, grey waste, black waste and water all free. The old town is a 20 minute walk and well worth the visit. Historic buildings in thr old walled centre and a large square with pkebty if bars and resteraunts. The aire itself felt safe and was far enough from the road. There are two main issues - bin storage area next to aire stinks and attracts flies - lots if them! The bin men also turned up at 05.30. The aire is also a bit cramped with inconsiderate parking by mohos and a van wasting space. We got there at 13.00 and there were 5 spaces left, by 16.00 it was full and arrivals came and went until after dark.

Boy this place smells. Temperatures of 32/33° and behind the borne is a refuse place. It smells!! Not nice either

At 2200/2400 they come loading/unloading bins and again at 0630 onwards. Noisy it is!!

Caceres itself us a 15 min walk to the main Plaza and the old site sits behind. Tbh it was too hot to bother, so an ice cream was had to sit and watch.

Will i come back - not personally and definitely when cooler. I dint do heat well

Aire itself is too small 5 drcent size pitches on one side but much smaller car sized on other. It cayses confusion

This aire is very popular and is now limited to a 24 hour stay. It’s close to the town which has a good selection of restaurants. There’s also a Spar shop, which I found to be most useful. It’s adjacent to a wheelie bin compound (the big industrial ones) which seems to be emptied etc around 09.00, but whether that is just certain days I have no idea. The service bay can be a little difficult to access but has a good water supply and emptying facilities.

Very popular Aire, arrived about 17:00 and MH parking was full but was able to park in the bus/coach area, which appears to be tolerated overnight but you will be asked to clear the area in the morning by the local police.

But what about this guy!!! Two bus spots with some little camper.

Great spot. Close to the old town and felt very safe. Parked in top carpark as dedicated spots were full, no troubles from Police. Filled up very fast after us. Those parked in bus area seemed fine also but may change in high season.

A level, tarmac, dedicated Motorhome stop in an excellent location on the edge of an interesting historic town. The town has cheap, dog friendly bars and there is a good, off-leash dog walk up the hill to the telecoms mast and back, providing a good view of the town. The street was closed on Saturday 4th Feb for a street party but we ignored the signs and managed to park up – many other vans had done the same but there were still a few dedicated places left. The filling and disposal facilities were OK, although they may be a bit awkward to access with larger vans. The water taps probably need new washers as they were difficult to turn off. Worth a couple of nights stopover if you can get it; we would return if out that way again

Excellent Aire but as stated gets busy!
We arrived at 1230 on a Friday and there were 3 spaces. 5 minutes later, full.
The town is excellent with loads of nice bars, cafes and eateries.
The old town is a 10 minute walk (uphill - turn left out of the gate)
Or bus number LC over the road -1€ to the Plaza de America (bus terminal).
24hr only sign but not sure if this is enforced .
Over subscription appears to be allowed for by parking in the main car park (not the bus bays).

Mostly just to endorse everything everyone has said. Spoke to local police. If you park in the bus bays they will ticket you. If you park in the other bigger car park and stay within the lines you will basically be ignored. Parking times for tourists is 7am till midnight (Summer) and 10am other times of year. Police popped in checked bus stance quick look at us in top car park about 10 van overspill and drove off. Old town is interesting and worth a look, had dinner in one of the cafés around the square sadly one of the worst steaks I have had. Just a bad choice but staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed for one night on our way north. We arrived before 12 noon, and within an hour or two it was full. Latecomers managed to park near where the coaches come in. Pleasant spot for a night, and the walk up into the old town is well worth it - lovely place to wander.

Arrived by 11:00 and the site was already full. Used the coach park area as did several others. Old Town is full of charm and well worth the visit. Facilities were there but difficult to get to due to crowding.

We stayed for 1 night in Jan 2016. Nice Aire close to the Old Town. Free water and elsan point. Got very busy and was overflowing with vans by 16:00. Everyone seemed to find somewhere to park even if it wasn't a designated spot.

Stayed for two nights Sept 2015. The bays are pretty tight and not that many, maybe 12? But there is room to park another 12 elsewhere if it is full. There is a water and waste point and it is in easy walk to the main old town. . . which is amazing. Well worth taking two days to wander around and soak it all up in a leisurely manner.
