A brilliant campsite. Great view of the Mendips from the cheaper field campsite (called Campsite 2). Campsite 1 includes bays separated by trees, your own mini woodland. Each bay has its own fire pit area and waste bins. Campsite 2 is a large field with plenty of space to spread out or clump with your group.View all reviews by spike42
The compost toilets was surprisingly clean and relatively odour free. Goats and fresh goat products in the little shop.
Stayed last April, had to cut visit short as ground was water logged and struggled to get van off pitch.View all reviews by gulliver7952
The individual pitches are huge with shrub screening from the next pitch.
There is also a large covered area to use.
The facilities are usable but I have seen better Compost Loo's. No showers.
This was my 2nd visit and the price had increased by £5 pn.
Although the site is very nice I do think it is over priced.
Wells is walk-able from site if weathers OK.
Pub in Wookey village.
