What a smashing site. Next to pub, river running through and bus stop just outside pub. All clean and tidy. Pub had a good menu and food delicious. A little expensive for Mid-Feb at £21.50 a night per unit (with EHU). A small charge for dogs.

Such a lovely pub stop over with their own little campsite. Very accommodating even when we turned up without warning early evening. Clean toilet blocks and hot showers. Great location if you want to visit Stonehenge. We had food here which was great, the staff lovely and the service great.

First time visitor to this site, absolutely love it!
All year round, hard standing pitches with EHU, this visit we paid £17.50 per night.
Very dog friendly, both site & pub.
Toilet blocks contain 2 x showers each (M & F), 1 x wc, urinals & 2 x washbasins.
Covered pot washing area with 2 x basins (hot water) & a pay as you go washing machine if required.
River Avon runs through site.
There are also grass pitches for tents or other (see pictures).
Nice walks from site.
Will definitely come back!

Lots of positives but also some negatives. The staff that worked in the pub were all superb, as was the food. The ham and cheese ploughmans was huge. Nice large beer garden.
We chose hardstanding with ehu (expensive at £8 per night) site was busy and we felt that more than one toilet in the gents and ladies was needed. Spongy floor in the gents loo was un-nerving lol.
Grounds really need a general tidy up. Some strimming and weeded needed as photos show.

Fire pits allowed

Lovely little site alongside a stream. A very warm welcome from pub staff on arrival. £6 per night for me and my camper van, plus £5 for EHU. Despite there being a road along one side, it was peaceful overnight. I would recommend it if you want to explore the area, it there isn't much within walking distance. Facilities are clean but basic, but I'm happy if there's a hot shower (no extra charge) and a flushing loo, so it suited me!

Excellent site, tranquil and peaceful and is gated and very grassy, it slopes gently down to flat area along the river and trees. Hook ups at the top on flat area. Toilet /shower block/ sink area is getting on and a bit creaky but very clean and tidy, has code on door too, collect this when signing in the pub, also does meals. The nearest shops about a mile away. I was a solo and didnt need hook up so It only cost me £6 for the night!

Good site, some noise from the road alongside. Hookup points are set for every two pitches but have only one outlet! Fortunately my lead was long enough to reach the only one which had a double adapter fitted to the single outlet. Please note food is not served on Sunday evening.

We stayed here as our normal pub campsite in the area, the Barge, is now closed (though the pub is still open). This is a lovely site with good hard standings for vans and caravans at the top of a sloping field with terraces for tents. The facilities are in a portacabin but were perfectly adequate and clean. The site includes a small river and a lake, much used by fishermen. Off the ground firepits are allowed. The pub is friendly and serves very good beer and food. The pub is fairly isolated but there was a bus to Salisbury from just outside but as the weather was glorious we chose to stay onsite and chill. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return.

Stayed towards the end of Feb 2017. Looks like the pitches have been revamped over the winter. Compacted hardcore / shingle separated by, currently, mud. I guess that grass will grow soon.

The grounds have now been partially fenced off so that the beer garden is now separated from the campsite and car park.
Facilities are ok, bit dated but work fine.
Food was good.
Had the dogs with us, limited space to walk on site. There is a bridleway close to the pub but you have to walk down the road to reach it (no pavements), which was a bit hair raising.

A one night stop over on route. Level hardstanding pitches with EHU. Ports cabin type structure, 1 ladies loo, 2 ladies showers & I guess the same in the gents, open 24 hours, lots of mould on the ceiling of the shower I used, tho lovely hot water!
Really enjoyed my meal in the pub, most meals around the £11 mark. However at £20 per pitch per night with no concession for eating in the pub & as a solo camper I would struggle to justify the cost to stop here again.

Staid on the 30th of Dec 2016 on route to our main destination. Food great and priced very reasonable, all staff very friendly. Pitches are fine, level but the grit was a real pain as it just stuck to your shoes like glue (wont have any effect on my review) EHU available on all pitches. Showers were very hot but could do with some TLC if I am to be honest. They are cleaned but have seen better days, lick of paint and scrape the fungus off the ceilings wouldnt go a miss. Agree with KAJJ £20 was a little steep as many pub stops do offer a small discount if you spend at the bar, a fiver off per pitch would break the bank would it.

Value for money: £15 would make me go back especially as we spend at the bar when we use pub stopovers
Location: Didn't play any bearing for me but Stonehenge and all that sort of thing are close by.
Facilities: Chem waste, drinking water showers hot and OK but get that tin of paint out and some fungus killer
View: Fishing pond opposite with fields in foreground.

Loverly pub nice food and a campsite. A lot better than a pub stopover with electric etc. Stayed 3 times this year (2016) and enjoyed each trip.

I have stayed here during September for the last 3 years and plan again for this year.
The food is better than excellent quality Pub Grub but not really 'restaurant'if that makes sense? The Pub has changed hands and so may be different now.
The facilities (shower & Elsan Disposal) are basic but adequate. Previously this was a very cheap place to stay but the price has been increased since new management. Hopefully the facilities have been improved to match :-)

Lovely site with ehu, fringed by the river Avon. The pub is very welcoming and does lovely food as well as a great range of beers, as you'd expect from a Wadworths pub. It's pretty rural and unless you have bikes or tow a car I'd recommend the Woodbridge for a relaxing weekend of sitting in the sun sampling the aforementioned beers!
