Owners very welcoming, site is very well kept and neat and tidy. We stayed here for 3 nights and unlike the other reviews did not hear any excessive noise from air or road traffic.View all reviews by tomlig
The owners were talking to us about ways to improve the site in the future
and are considering putting a motorhome sevice point in
Pub serving nice meals 5 minutes walk away.
Open all year and will definately be coming back.
Regarding the previous review, I stayed for a full weekend on this site on 21/06/2018. It has the basic facilities, its on a working farm, its very peaceful with barely any road noise and yes its not far off the line of manchester airport but hardly that much noise and we all like a plane flying above. Its an immaculately kept site. There's a great pub 5mins away for good food. The owners, Adrian and Alison are fab and their mother, Kathleen 93yo is a sweet character too. Will go back for sure.View all reviews by twitch
As national CS winner 2007 and again 2011 we had very high expectations. The friendly owner keeps the grass in immaculate condition, but I have a few reservations.View all reviews by gillpartridge
Main drawback was the noise, both from the nearby busy road and the aircraft from nearby Manchester Airport.
The “dog walk” off the site is a little lane with a tractor flying up and down spilling manure: guess I was unlucky to be there in muck spreading week!
There is a brilliant canal dog walk two miles away at Middlewich.
No pub or shops within walking distance but good facilities at Middlewich.
Don’t get me wrong: this is a very nice CL but I am somewhat surprised that Club members think it the best in the country.
Sadly the nearby social club has closed down.
