Stayed for 2 nights in late July as wanted to cycle the Granite Way. Very friendly staff, Covid measures in place.View all reviews by paulholt57
The site has ladies & gents toilets and a shower. The shower was warm and plenty of pressure.
It was £11pn + £4 for EHU.
Cross the road and cycle 500m and you are on the cycle track. We did both ways and on our return from Oakhampton today, we cycled upto Meldon Reservoir, well worth it.
A great site for a visit.
great site for a stop off £9.50 in July noView all reviews by markadamson36
we ate in the pub good pub grub and value for money, just behind the campsite you have the moors and some fantastic walks
Bus stops outside to Tavistock or Okehampton. A short distance from the site is the Granite Way, a 11 mile multi-use trail running between Okehampton and Lydford along the north western edge of Dartmoor and passing close to Meldon Reservoir. Lydford is a pretty village with its Castle and church and the famous Lydford Gorge (NT)View all reviews by Overlandsailor
Just spent 2 nights here and had a very relaxing stay. The site is well kept with basic but adequate facilities. The Pub is great and the friendly staff treat you as if you have been a regular for years, the food is very good and well priced. Definitely worth a visit we will be back.View all reviews by taffster
Friendly response both on the phone and on arrival. Didn’t use pub as it was late and raining heavily. Quiet night a few other vans parked up with several statics also a couple of tents on the field. Hard standing pitches and Electric hook up available. We paid £8.50 for the night without ehu. We filled up with water and used chemical waste. Did not use on site showers or toilets so can’t comment on those. Would recommend.View all reviews by eileena
Lovely peaceful site and good food in the pub. We stayed just the one night but would not hesitate to return. The one night cost £9 excluding EHU which we did not need.View all reviews by flamenca
was going to stay 2 nights but unfortunatly the toilet/shower block is up wooden stairs so,as we are nearly 80 we found it unsuitable for us with slight walking difficulties...how ever it did look to be a nice quite siteView all reviews by lesjay
Lovely site at the rear of the Fox and Hounds pub. Fantastic location for The Ten Tors on Dartmoor track next to site leads directly on to moor. Within walking distance of the gorgeous Lydford Gorge. Free hot showers. Cost us £11.50/ night including ehu. Hardstandings available. Good pub grub and the pub.View all reviews by HectorandWally
Lovely site although being updated at the moment. Good position for walking on Dartmoor right below Brat Tor and Widgery's Cross. Several hard standing pitches and grassed areas. Clean showers with plenty of hot water, not easy to find (above the skittle ally). The pub staff are very friendly and helpful, Sunday lunch was lovely. The small road opposite has the most beautiful Beech tree avenue and leads to the Granite Way. Will definitely return.View all reviews by wineandrugby
