lively site, easy to walk to Corfe Castle. Fish & chip van came to site on Fridays. Facilities closed but no reflected in the price which cost £30 on a Friday nightView all reviews by lydiagreenwood
First night in a hired motorhome so wanted some where straighforward to find and easy to park which is exactly what we got. A level gravel pitch with electric hook up for 2 adults one 14 year old and a dog in October was £43. Showers and Toilets were not open due to Covid. Bin area was full but otherwise everything seemed to be fine. Didnt look around too much as we were heading for Kimmeridge Bay (£10 parking fee) for the day the next morning. We didnt stop at Corfe Castle as have recently visited but there were some lovely views of Corfe Castle on the way there!View all reviews by tomlinjane
A delightful find!View all reviews by RogerMG
Come via Corfe Castle - it's easy to drive past & difficult to drive in if you come
from the west.
Very friendly& helpful welcome. We started near the gate but asked to be moved to one of the higher pitches near the back - good TV reception on that pitch.
Drive over grey waste for m/homes by the entrance, a couple of fresh water taps at each end of the site.
Lovely under a mile road free walk into Corfe Castle village, plenty of other walks nearby with wonderful views.
A difficult site to review - on the whole excellent. Great location - lovely footpath into the delightful village of Corfe Castle just less than a mile with superb views of the castle on the way. Very dog friendly, no stiles. The site itself is sloping although most pitches are fairly level. Access to some pitches is awkward due to narrow access road. Our pitch was gravel, small and shaded - no tv reception. The pitches are very mixed in size and aspect. The site is very well maintained and very friendly wardens. We loved the layout as it is the antithesis of the regimented layout of many club sites. Very peaceful and relaxing stay here. Also,View all reviews by dratcliffe
User friendly motorhome facilities.
We came here just by chance as we wild camp really, however wirh the need to empty and restock we found rhe warden here friendly and helpful. We paid our £7.50 and was given a pitch till midday so we could refresh ourselves too. Very clean and quiet, with a good layout, i would return.View all reviews by dizzygirl
Great location for walk into Corfe Castle and the steam train to Swanage and walks on the Purbeck Hills.View all reviews by timeforbed
Pitch private and level although would not have got our awning up on it. Clean toilet block but may be insufficient if site was full.
Good fish and chips on Friday night.
As others have said there is no lighting at night so take a torch.
Wardens helpful and friendly.
The site itself is in a lovely location. We had pitch 6 which had a wooded area behind us, one night we had front seats watching a mummy deer and her baby. Unfortunately that was the only 2 things going for the site. It's too noisy with all the kids running riot all over the park and in the shower block. Won't be returning.View all reviews by milktray2000
Fab site, nicely spaced from other units yet close enough to friend’s van. Lovely shower block/toilets - powerful and hot shower. 20p for hairdryer. EHU available.View all reviews by busystep
Ten minute walk to castle/village with stunning views. We went when been heavy rain so didn’t walk trails as too muddy but believe it is lovely. Great pubs, food, bit of shopping and the castle is great. Debated steam train from Corfe to swanage but maybe another day. Will definitely come back.
Site access good but the pitches very steep in places bit off the beaten track although if you’re able there is a nice walk across the fields to the CastleView all reviews by magpie2017
This was our first site stop for a couple of years and our first with the C&CC. The entrance to the lane leading to the site is not too bad and has a large sign opposite. No problem finding it. The lane is narrow, but not too narrow for the larger motorhomes. (Tag axle around 8.5 mtrs) even towing. Ours is nowhere near that at 5.5 mtrs! On arrival we entered reception where Lisa greeted us and booked us in. She then took us to our hardstanding area.View all reviews by rumour
The site is lovely! The hardstanding pitches are in the main level, although we did have to level our unit a little. The water point for fresh and small amounts of grey water is central and the emptying of the grey from M/H tanks is by the toilet and shower block. That block is spotless! Showers are hot, cubicles and open area bowls are available.
All in all a great site, Mark and Lisa are very friendly and helpful. Although at the top end of the price scale for the C&CC, it's worth every penny. Lots to do in the area with Corfe Castle, the Purbeck Hills and the Steam Railway to Swanage withing 15 minutes walk. No "entertainment" on site, but for us that is a plus point! Join the club and get a discount, more if you are old like us! Great site...
Set under the Purbeck hills site is well hidden from the main road and care needed to not overshoot and end up in the village. Corfe is a mile walk by road or best along the hill pathway with outstanding views. Great spot to explore the Purbeck hills directly from the site. Walk into Corfe or Bicknoller for great pubs and food.View all reviews by redkite
We stayed here in June 2015, really nice site situated in wooded glades, vans parked around in fan shape, plenty of shade and space. Good showers and looks, small shop on site, 15 minute walk across fields to Corfe Castle, nearby steam train into Swanage.View all reviews by phills1953
