Just added a couple of photos to update on costs. Didn't stay here but parked to visit Lindau, I saw the no motorhome sign as I exited the roundabout for Lindau so came straight back out from the r-bout on the other side. Then followed signs here.View all reviews by dirchy
1.6km to the island, easy walk, didn't see the P&R bus either.
€3 for 2hrs plus €1 per hour after that.
€20 for 24hrs
People were struggling with the water supply on site as we were leaving.
Score only as I have to.
Large shared parking area on the outskirts of Lindau. Expensive at €20 for a overnight stop and limited facilities. The site is easy enough to find and is well signposted on the approach, although depending on which way you come into town there are a few low bridges (lowest I saw was 3.1m). Location is in a residential area but is well planted with trees so it does feel so bad.View all reviews by admin
The island is an easy 20min walk or there is apparently a regular bus every 30mins (2.10€) although we never saw a bus stop at the stop to the entrance. Payment is by cash only and accepts notes or coins. There is a single service point (no electric) and costs 0.50€ for either 5mins of water which gave us approx 75litres or 5 mins access to the wc waste disposal, of course no one uses that, and they empty the toilet down the drive over gutter for grey water disposal. There is also a toilet block but that was out of operation on our visit. Lindau town is attractive with plenty of bars restuarants, souvenir shops etc and there are regular ferries to different points on the lake. Loads of wifi signals picked up but no free open connections.
