How to subscribe
If your evaluation period has expired or your existing subscription has expired, all the pins on the map should be grey with a ?
Click on any of these icons and follow the “Tell me more” or “Renew Subscription” prompt
Alternatively you can now renew via the website, simply login to you “My Account” page with the same details you use on the app and there will be a “Renew Subscription” button in the My App Account details section

Passwords
Change My Password
You can only CHANGE your password if you know your existing password
You can change your existing password via the app or website, simply login to you “My Account” page with the same details you use on the app and click the edit icon to the right of the password field on your account

If you have forgotten or do not know your existing password you will need to request a RESET password. Note: we cannot advise what your existing password is as we only store encrypted versions
Once you have received the reset password via email (check your spam/junk email folder if it doesnt show in main inbox), you can login using the temporary rest password, then you should CHANGE the temporary reset password to something more memorable and personal using the temporary reset password as your existing password
I have subscribed but still cant get access
If you have succesfully subscribed (you should receive email confirmation with a receipt number to confirm valid subscription) but still can't access the page then on the app whilst connected to the internet you should either...
- Click/touch the Menu icon (Top left) and click/touch the 'Update Sync' button
- Or... Completely close the app and restart
Either of the above actions should pick up your subscription
I cant see any sites on the map
If you can not see any sites or a reduced number of sites on the map, there are a few things to check
- Have you got a filter applied? - check the filter icon top left, if it is green you have applied a filter. Click the icon and then click Reset Filter
- Are you using an "Advanced Search" - check the icon bottom left of the map, if it is showing then a search has beeen applied - click the icon to clear or got to Menu - Advanced Search and click "Clear"
If neither of the above apply it may be a sync has failed. Go to Menu (icon top left) and scroll down and click "Full Sync" -this will restore your database
Edit/Update a site
To edit the details about a location you must be logged in Why register?

How to edit on website
The 'Edit' button is located on the right hand side below the thumbnail images
click the edit button to open the edit panel where all the details can be amended as required
Note: edits have to be approved and do not happen instantly on the site
How to edit on app
On the site details page you want to edit there is an 'Edit' icon (Pencil) at the top of the page in the blue header. Click the icon to open the edit page

Register with searchforsites
To get the best out of searchforsites you need to create an account - it is free to register and gives you extra benefits:
- Use links to websites
- View contact phone numbers
- View sites co-ordinates
- Ability to edit a site
- Ability to submit a new site
- Add photos
- Add reviews
Can I use my account on more than one device?
As long as you use the same username and password you can share the same account on any compatible device that you own
Compatible devices include:
- iPhones and iPads using iOS 10 or later
- Android phone or tablet using Android 9 or later
I have changed my phone how do transfer my account to a new device?
Just login to your new device using the same username and password your acoount will be replicated on your new device
Do not re- register as this will create a new account and any subscription details, lists, reviews etc will be lost
