Perfect for walking into old Le Mans.View all reviews by flyingbluedog
Bit noisy being next to a roundabout.
For water you will need an airline type fixing and you will have to pay €8 -which you will have to after 24 hours anyway.
Disposing of black and grey free though.
Le Mans a lovely character town.
Stayed here for one night liked it so much we stayed for two .Three French motorhomes parked up and left. So spaces got filled up quickly. A large carpark adjacent so more motorhomes in there. Ideal for visiting old town and new town, only 15 minutes walk, great facilities, next to river, This Aire has been built in the last year, clean and tidy.View all reviews by Kaxx
denrog nice place at the side of the river, only a short walk to the town along the river, would have stayed 2 nights but the road traffic was very noisy all night. ????View all reviews by topliss
Stayed overnight as a stop over on the way to La Rochelle.View all reviews by mikimoo
Good location. 10 minute walk to the old town which is well worth a visit.
We had a lovely meal at le bistro de la vielle Porte and a walk back through the cobbled streets.
Only bad point was the family who parked next to us and were very noisy playing music at 4am.
Definitely recommend and would stay again.
Stayed on January , liked it so much I came back! Quite surprised it was not busy so able to stay 2 nights. As said before it’s a nice location at base of the old quarter. The Cathedral is alway worth a visit and then a walk along the city walls.View all reviews by carpetbagger
In front of the. Cathedral are 3 cafe/bars and across the road from there is the new town with all it’s shops and a supermarket.
I’ve always driven passed Le Mans, but it is worth the stopover.
Perfect Aire to visit the old town. Level and although near to the road we had a peaceful night with just one other motorhome.View all reviews by florence
Stopped for one night on the way down from the Eurotunnel, on our trip to Spain. Easily spotted the location, right by the river. Very large spaces and huge car park next to the airies if full. Service point at the end with card payment. Right in heart of the old city centre. Felt very safe. Great night stop, well recommended.View all reviews by mrsstowie39
Had planned to stay the night. Parked up and had a lovely walk round the old town but there were gendarmes in riot gear everywhere. I was told the fair people had come with their carousel but could not go on their normal place. They had been offered somewhere else but didn't like it and were very very angry. They were protesting and letting off fireworks.View all reviews by kainene
When I got back to my van 4 concrete blocks had been placed in the entrance to the aire and there was a notice saying no vehicles allowed between 7am and 10pm tomorrow 23rd March and any left would be towed away. So I packed up and got out sharpish. not sure if the two things are related?
This is a “free” aire by the river in Le Mans. But! The water cost €8.00 for 10 minutes! That said , it’s a good location just below the old town and Roman walls.View all reviews by carpetbagger
The old town is really worth a wonder around and the inside of the cathedral and stained glass is just stunning.
There are a couple of good cafes in the square in front of the old town and shopping centre in front of that.
I think you only allowed 24 hours here but I stayed 2 nights as quiet, but I did see this morning local council guys taking details of motorhome that looked as though it had beed here some while, so be careful if intending to stay a bit longer.
There is a Camping-car park site just up the road as well.
Easy site by the river under the old town. Was sceptical about the price of the services but yes it is €8 for water but free so stay 24 hours. There is road noise but not excessive.View all reviews by purpledragon
Stayed one night. Its all about the access to the oldtown and city centre which is great (albeit uphill). Its new but theresalso a large carpark adjacent where several vans were also staying. We stayed sunday and noisefrom the road was tolerable. Old town great and city centre is worth a walk around.View all reviews by chrisnian
Very close to the centre, so ideal location for visiting.View all reviews by rbrisk
Noise from the road and gets full very quickly.
Stayed Saturday night, no issues with parking Sunday morning
Still occupied by travellers/showmen and absolutely nowhere to park let alone stay over.View all reviews by kentai
Area has now been taken over by showmen parked all over the place. No room for anything. Other site is currently being revamped.View all reviews by imscots2
A large car park next to a busy road and a river. It's within easy walking distance of the old town which was illuminated by a son-et-lumiere show while we were there. It'll be a shame if there is no longer any space due to "showmen" as it was so convenient.View all reviews by s1mon
I enjoyed driving our van down the Mulsanne Straight the next morning too! It;s part of the famous circuit but when there's no racing it's a public road.
Large car park close to the river with easy walking distance from old quarter.View all reviews by aderowswell
