A lovely place to stopover. Hidden at the bottom of a valley, no satnav or phone signal, so it was a peaceful time, although there is wi-fi in the pub! Quite narrow roads to get to it, but there are passing places and we had no problems. There is a single vehicle bridge and sharp right turn in to the car park, but we managed it in a 7m motorhome. The staff were lovely and the food excellent, espcially the steak and mushroom pie and The Cotswold Gin comes highly recommendedView all reviews by Rachy51
Phoned about a week in advance to book in for a couple of nights, and ask for a table for dinner for one night. Warm welcome from the landlord when we arrived. Offered up £20, because we understood it was £10 a night, but landlord said no worries, no charge since you’re having dinner. Explained he gets a bit fed up with people expecting to stay for free if they buy a couple of pints and a bag of crisps. Pub really popular with walkers and cyclists on sunny weekend lunchtimes; very quiet overnight. Beer excellent, really well kept, and the food was great too. Will definitely return!View all reviews by Bobdog
Excellent one night stop. Emailed two weeks prior to check availability. Got good communication. Set in a stunning valley with walking trails. Food was gorgeous, owners and staff polite and very helpful.View all reviews by steersy
Narrow lanes and smallish carpark for motorhomes/campervans. Not suitable for caravans or large units. The tent field is foot access only but only a few yards from the carpark.
A small pub in a quiet location outside of Sapperton village beside a stream ( the infant River Frome) and a disused overgrown canal. Plenty of footpaths in the vicinity including The Wysis Way, a recognised distance path.View all reviews by chocky1948
Campers etc (£10 / night) are pitched in the level gravel car park, tents have a separate grass site below the car park. There’s a detached wet room / 1 x toilet/basin /electric shower in the car park with a coded entry. We didnt eat at the pub as we were the only people there! We walked 1.5 miles to Frampton Mansell to The Crown Inn ( see review).
An ok stop over for 1 night......
