A charming, family-friendly pub serving a massive menu of two-for-one pub classics, world specials, and great kids’ food. The pub was named in the 1820s, and has been trading for even longer: our first customers came in in the second half of the 18th century! Located on Hornsea Road, we still have a warm welcome for travellers from near and far. There’s a two-for-one carvery all day on Saturday and Sunday, and if you’re in the mood for something sweet you can visit our brilliant ice cream parlour. We also offer a fantastic selection of real ales, wines, spirits, ciders, and soft drinks.

Great Stopover. Level tarmac hardstanding.Well lit & feels safe. Warm welcome. Dogs not allowed in pub. Nice outlook over windfarms & horses in field.
Went in for a drink & pudding. Great location for seeing Beverley.
I've given facilities 10 stars because this is wildcamping and you shouldn't expect any.

Ideal stop over for Hull and East Yorkshire area. Close to Beverley and Hornsea. Possible stopover for Hull ferries. Large level car park. Pub is a Marston's 2for1. Have been several times and the food is always good and very reasonably priced. Some road noise so park at far end of car park. Small grass area to walk dogs.
