We stayed here for one night but would have stayed longer if we hadn't already paid for a campsite. We stayed on the parking at the side of the road on the same side as the Viaduct but the one on the other side is wider. A quiet night in a stunning area. Footpaths to walk for miles but you do cross a stream at one point if you walk far enough. A peaceful nights sleep with not much traffic. Beautiful scenery. We love this area and will definitely use it as a regular wildcamp spot.

Pulled up at Ribblehead Viaduct on a beautiful autumn day. Plenty of space to park and the views were amazing. We thought we would have a lovely peaceful night. Unfortunately, the road is used by lorries, all through the night and the layby is on the side of the road, so we didn’t get much sleep. We don’t know if this is normal and happens every night or if one of the more main roads were closed and the lorries were diverted, but it has put us off staying there again.

So picturesque it’s hard to talk about anything else .Amust do for all folk. Water and long hose available now, and medium sized car park with stunning view of viaduct are the only facilities. Food and ale werevery good pub grub, inside pub is scruffy but really cosy. Locals and staff very friendly. Will definately return!!

This is a great place to stop With great views. The road and the parking spaces are always busy in the day-time, but onlly a few over-nighters (last time I went I was the only over-nighter). Spaces for about 20-25 vehicles, quite uneven and close to the road. Also close to the railway of course with some night-time goods trains. Close to the pub (friendly but bit tatty), and the station where you can get some wifi.
