Stopped over for one night on the way north. Excellent fairly large pub not far off A1 with good beer and pub food. Large portions at reasonable prices, served piping hot. Friendly staff. Plenty of space on a large tarmac car park with EHU if required. Not sure of other facilities. We didn't need them, but... Would definitely recommend.View all reviews by dandd

Good stop over not too far from the A1. Very friendly welcome. The Black Sheep is a cracking pint and a superb sirlion steak for under £10.View all reviews by doonhamers2
The car park is reasonably level and a good size. ehu is available for £5.
Only niggle is the £5 parking charge which I would expect to be waived if you have a meal.
Stop off on way to the coast. Top food and cracking night. Level car park and ehu but needs a normal plug.View all reviews by agbasey

Nice stopover with a very friendly landlady who came out to greet us in the pouring rain as we arrived. Nice inexpensive food and a great pint of Black Sheep. Electricity £5 if you need it. Happy days.View all reviews by kevrowan
