Read the previous review from Kwilcox19, so knew not to venture down to the nature reserve car pack. We pulled straght into the new place (quarry) just a few hundred meters Short of the original place. We stayed 2 nights here. Really quiet stay. Great walks from the van. Bin on site. Less of a view from this pitch. But it’s free. Definetly recommended.

Absolutely stunning spot but I was told this morning that they no longer allow overnight camping in the main car park. There is another area a little further up the road where it is allowed. Apparently it was abused by some and the tiny local community had lots of trouble - now no longer available to any of us. What a shame.

Stayed here for 1 night. Watch out for the entry road as it is not easily signposted. We missed it the first time and had to turn around and come back. There is now a sign in the car park saying no over night parking and that they are trialling overnight stays for a max of 3 nights in the quarry car park instead which is approx 250m down from the main car park back along the approach road. Quarry car park is large, plenty of space for many motorhomes and generally hard, flat ground. Very peaceful and quiet. Walks and views from little ferry are beautiful! Well worth the visit. We saw 4 or 5 seals in the loch!

The exact location for this site now has no overnight parking signs added, but they do direct you to another car park a couple of hundred yards away (which you pass on the way to this car park). It's not as close to the shore of the Loch, but still only 5 mins away. Views aren't great from the alternative site as its in a bit of a dip, but very quiet and out the way.

Lovely quiet location
Short walk to the Loch or a slightly longer walk to the sea.
Few dog walkers during the day but no-one about after 6pm.
No facilities, bin on site, nearest shops pubs etc is in Golspie which is 3 mile away

Loverly place to wild camp sheltered spot in the carpark a few locals visited to walk their dogs nice walk along the loch to the sea we spotted a couple of dolphins at high tide.
The drive down the road from the village to the carpark was about 2.5 miles but worth the trip

Great place to stop overnight, very quiet at night although a few dog walkers throughout the day. No facilities but great for walks along the waterside. Picnic tables at site.
