Great place to explore the city. Cycle routes to all areas. A visit to “La Cite Du Vin” recommended although at 20 euros per head a little on the high side. Does not appear to be an official aire and overnight parking is tollerated but this according to locals will soon end due to ongoing developments of the quayside. Woke up this morning with a mechanical fork lift truck behind the MH waiting for me to move on.View all reviews by beetlewasher
Great spot for access to the city. 15 min ride on designated cycle paths. Building work going on and a busy road close but that adds to the atmosphere. Locals fishing in the harbour were entertaining and friendly. Interesting to see the disused submarine pens and the working marina. Park close to the Macdonalds for access to wifi.View all reviews by simonjh
great spot for visiting Bordeaux. right on the edge of the marine, free, no height barriers, next to McDonald's for use of toilets. supermarkets over the road behind McDonald's. building works are still going on but not an issue. fairly quiet through the night.View all reviews by campervantravel
Very interesting stop opposite Uboat pens. About 1k to river past new buildings with shops and restaurants. Plenty of shops and restaurants along river walk towards city centre.View all reviews by phoenixash
Looks a bit rough as there’s so much development happening. Stayed a couple of nights but very noisy, local motorbikers use the roads as a race track til after midnight, but safe enough. 20 min walk to cite du vin, tip: keep the river on your left and cross the bridge just by the cite du vin! McDonalds for toilet and free wifi. Supermarket behind McDonalds and bus stop to get into town. Trucks unhitch and park at weekend. I reckon in a few years when development complete there’ll be no overnight parking.View all reviews by Smurf60
Great site for free parking. Felt safe, stayed 2 nights no problems. Yes it is a building site but no work going on when we were hereView all reviews by motorhomejunkies

Lots of development going on, so likly to change in the future.
Good nights sleep with little noise.
Wifi from McDonalds.
Nice view over the water other side in construction site.
As previous reviews, a little apprehensive leaving the mo ho to go into the city, we stayed one night and went into Bordeaux on two days, all was fine and the one night was peaceful. Used mac d's for loos.View all reviews by gordongofar
We were a bit apprehensive when we arrived as it felt a bit rough round the developing marina. However, stayed for 2 nights with no trouble. A little traffic noise and just 2-3 other vans. Perfect for cyclists and 30 min walk to cite du vin. Would recommend the history of wine tour. A 45 min walk along the river to the centre- it's a truly beautiful city. Free parking at the marina, some road noise. Was able to park close to McDonalds and use WiFi in the van. Steady walk to town, around 30-40 mins.View all reviews by stevehall
Good location for a short stay in Bordeaux, especially if visiting Cite du Vin. Stayed 2 nights in Feb 18, plenty of room but guess will be busier in summer with marina traffic. Nearby trams to city centre or can cycle on good cycle paths. Used McDonalds for WiFi, other restaurants nearby. Nearby area is under development but no issue when we stayedView all reviews by muffaletta
