Nice spot, next to the sea about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Oban (has a weatherspoons, shops and tourist information). If you carry on up the road there is a beautiful beach with a car park which you may/maynot be able to park at overnight. No toilets nearby, although again could walk to weatherspoons/other local pubs or at the beach there was public toilets there. It was a little noisey on Friday night but suppose thats what you get being close to a town centre.

Ps. Its free parking 6pm-9am then £1.20 an hour from there Mondsy to Saturday. Sunday you pay for parking 1pm-6pm

Signs now indicate parking is only for cars and motorcycles and the carparks are very small. No motorhomes around so did not stay. There is a very large carpark up in the town, up the hill, which motorhomes can stay at as long as no events on. Would recommend this....although could not stay as there was an event on! There are not many motorhome parking options in Oban even though it is the exit port across to isles.

Stayed here last night, amazing wake up views. Parking meter from 9am to 6pm. Arrived 10pm for overnight stay until ferry. Relatively quiet. Street lighting may be too bright for some. No signs saying no overnight parking. No issues. Turning at the end could be an issue, ok for me with 6.9m. Might be a problem here in the height of summer.

I'm afraid there are signs up saying cars and motorcycles only here now. in fact we found Oban very anti motorhome, none of the car parks allowed them. and the spaces on the sea front were for max 2 hours stay. we parked in lidl for free for 3 hours. short walk to town. we didn't bother staying in the area if they don't want our custom. Ps. the laybys near the town have the no overnighting signs up also

Excellent location. 200 yards from War memorial. Bear in mind it's the esplanade so you will get joggers walkers and passing traffic road is awaiting new painted lines so parking may change .. The town is 10 min walk away; can recommend Markie Dans for being dog friendly also The Oban Inn; The Lorne on the back Street even have a menu for dogs we had twon meals for £10 the burger and chicken wrap would be £12 each amy were else. 20.min walk to the train station. Loads of bars restaurant etc
