Stayed here for one night on the 8th Jan. Super place for stopping, a 1.5 mile walk into Melton Mowbray, took a mortgage out for a Pork Pie!!!
The site is a nice gravel car park adjacent to the visitor/community cafe. The cafe and toilets open at 9am.
Still busy with lots of dog walkers, felt secure.

Stayed 2 nights here. Lovely location and as has already been said a cafe and daytime toilets. Plenty of walks.
Shared the first night with 2 other vans .. alone the second.
This cafe is a community venture so would be nice if we supported it.

Perfect location for an overnight stop, everything you need is here. Volunteer staff in the visitor center / cafe are so friendly, be sure to visit them for a supeb breakfast. Car park does get busy during the day with locals visiting the country park.

Great little find. Small car park with immediate access to the lovely country park. We didn’t make it into the town but it didnt look too far to walk. Loos open 9-5 and clean even late in the day. We spent a really relaxed evening and peaceful night here, so very grateful to find it on the app!

Thank you Melton Council for letting us stay. Such a hidden gem. haven't done the walk yet as it is raining but if you have children, there is a playground

Very nice site with plenty of space very quite when we stayed over but weather was over cast with the odd shower , very good walks on very well mantained paths , you could walk for hours or ride your bike , very good for dogs too .. would stay again .

This is a great spot close to town with good cycle routes both around the park and into town. We popped to the visitors centre and asked if they had any maps and we were quickly given a print out, which was great for us. The little kiosk / cafe (there was a children's party going on inside) were still able to provide a friendly service and drinks and ice creams. The only downside is in dry weather the cars create a lot of clouds of white dust, which also walks into the Moho.

Lovely quiet night! Speaking to a local was advised that Friday nights are not good to stay due to a very busy Park run using the carpark very early Saturday morning . The car park at that time is very busy.

Good stopover place. Toilets open during the day. Plenty of room. Had a run around the park the following morning. Did experience the 'noisy revver' but he didn't hang around long. Man in café friendly and helpful.

What a superb place to park and overnight. Right on the edge of the country park. Lots of space and nice and quiet. The toilets are spotlessly clean; open 9-5. The cafe does not seem to be open. A small group of kids were around till 11 but no trouble at all. It's a mile and a half walk or ride through the park into the town. Thanks a million to the person who added this to the site as it's brilliant. There are no parking restrictions or height barriers in place.

Local kids in their cars can be a bit noisy but as soon as it's 11pm they all leave and then it's so peaceful until approx 7am when the usual joggers, dog walkers etc start to turn up.
Beautiful place

Large council run country park with reservoir and lovely walks. Café open during daylight hours. Very popular with dog walkers but is very quiet overnight. Barrier on entry but was open and staff advised it is never closed? Council workers not bothered by us staying in car park. Toilets close overnight so self contained a must. Ideal for Melton Mowbray
