Did one night wild camping here. Only two other vehicles on site. Great location for walks in the area. Pubs about a 15 min walk away. Secure toilets on site but cost 20 pence for entry. There is a great sandwich hut on site that opens at 8.30am and closes at about 4pm depending on season and it does a great breakfast. Some road noise but not enough to stop us getting a good night sleep.View all reviews by bluebear1873
Just spent one night wild camping here. Very quiet with no-one else around. Bit of road noise this morning but heard nothing in the night. Has toilets 20p and cafe opened at 8.30am. Didn’t use either but great to have available. Lovely spot with river walk/cycle trail. Definately recommend as a stopover.View all reviews by janr
Nice little layby and picnic site set back from A683 with toilets and a snack bar.View all reviews by k44gsw
Quiet enough through the night but road noise from about 6am.
The toilets aren't 24 hour and cost 20p I think they automatically lock about 8 pm and we're already open when we got up around 7 am. The snack bar opens at 8.30am but they were setting up from about 7.30am.
I would definitely use this site again
Stayed in layby at front overnight v quiet apart from road. No travelling community. Woke up and realised theres a bit of a run down picnic area. But then found the fantastic snack bar ring ahead 07762 514024 830-4 7 days. Fry ups burgers sandwiches plates and proper mugs. 20p toilets. Also recycling facs. 8 mile off road cycle track opposite lancaster to ? Lune. Good alternative to m6 services. Another site nearer m6 signposted.View all reviews by lewisp91
Nice flat area with toilets. The site was occupied by gypsies when we stopped there in May 2017 and it didn't feel comfortable enough for us to stay.View all reviews by kevrowan
