Super little site. Friendly owners. Well run, clean, clear rules to make it comfortable for all. Toilet and shower block very well maintained. Washing up facilities are great and include a hot-water 'jet' washer. We had a large plot with electric hook up and there was plenty of space. Freshly laid hens eggs are on sale from an honesty box. No local shop and no local pub - the 'George' is a restaurant and booking a table in advance is recommended. Will return.View all reviews by bailey2018
By the time I write this review the second shower cubicle should be on line! Even after about thirty hours of virtually continous rain the pitches were still not waterlogged! the toilets and shower are rustic, well appointed and heated. The local pub does allow dogs but only in the main bar which is a bit small. Apparently the food is very good, but we only had drinks. Wonderful walking from the site to the Dove valley and Ilam etc, and also to the Manifold valley.View all reviews by butchs1
A very friendly campsite & well organised without feeling restricted. More expensive than we usually go for, at £24 per night for a campervan plus EHU. Good toilets & shower (but only one). Well maintained, level, grass site, hedges for wind shelter & plenty of flowers planted around the place. Free range chickens & eggs for sale. Pretty village with lots of footpaths & easy access to the cycle trails. The pub is overprice so best to cook at your van.View all reviews by mgwinnell
