Phoned in advance, Ross (manager) was very friendly and explained where we should park. Upon arrival mid afternoon, we popped in to announce our arrival, watched a couple of boats going through the locks (Leeds and Liverpool Canal) and had a drink. The staff were very friendly. We were joined by 3 other vans later, and chatted to the owner of one of them. We had prebooked a table, enjoyed a good meal, retiring at about 10pm. Although being on the A65 we had a great nights sleep.View all reviews by Peanut08
The ratings system is unfair to these types of venues. A N/A feature should be added. At the end of the day, it is a pub carpark, by a main road. Gargrave is a pretty village. Will definately visit again.
Great place to overnight on your way to the Dales or Lakes. Free parking and a good pub to eat and use the toilet. Its attached to a premier Inn so the pub is open even on a Sunday from 7pm for breakfast ( or to use the loo ????).View all reviews by mclouis007
This is walking country, you will have direct access to the Leeds Liverpool canal for extensive flat walks or hilly 5 mile to Malham cove etc.
Stayed on Sat night & as long as you park away from the road the noise is greatly reduced (though its not bad anyway). Decent pub (toilets just inside front door, so no need to go "right in" ;-) Nice food, good beer & free so not a lot more you can ask for really.View all reviews by northernspirit
Stayed here for Saturday night, had nice walk along the canal and a meal in the pub. Normal brewers fayre food so ok. Bit of noise from road but didn't bother us. l went in the pub on arrival to check we could stay and told it was fine.View all reviews by tempo
Really big car park which was good for us as we’re nearly 10m long.View all reviews by sibantam
Close to Gargrave village which has a couple of pubs that do food, small supermarket an Indian restaurant and a fish and chip shop. Also buses running in to Skipton and a train station but not sure how often they run.
Only downside is that it’s close to the road but became fairly quiet in the evening. No cost and no obligation to buy food/drink from the pub.
