Beautiful area with some lovely scenic walks and several walkable pubs. There is access to the canal and also the Nene Valley Steam Railway when it is running. Big camping field with lots of room and modern, clean facilities. The riverside piches all have long stayers on. A large area adjacent is a new residential village still under construction so there are HGV’s etc accessing through the site although there is enough room to get some distance away from them. There is an out of hours barrier system with a £10 returnable deposit and also a pleasant small ouside cafe. Red Kites, Hobby and Kingfisher seen on the site.View all reviews by AWRH

Stayed 1 night, July 2020.
Electric pitch next to mill pond just a short walk to the very clean toilet shower block.
Very peacefull stay, great little cafe next to mill pond.
Great walks to local villages, walked to Nassington walking route takes in the river & fields (2km) to the Queens head.
On site relax and take in the views and watch the parachutists from Stibbington.
Great 1st stopover!
Great location, with excellent walks. Staff very helpful and will definitely try to visit again in the summer.View all reviews by TraceB
Walked into both Wansford and Nassington, which both offered a good selection of shops and pubs.
Stayed here 22 January 2020. We had a great stay, lovely location. The staff were really friendly. We set up next to the lake with the river Nene on the other side. It was very quiet and we had a peaceful nights sleep. We paid £22 with hook-up and £10 deposit for the barrier pass, which you get back on departure. The toilet and shower block were pretty new and very clean. We paddle-boarded on the Sunday and there was no pressure to leave at any specific time. I would definitely recommend and viView all reviews by MeanderingMable
Pretty site with the river and wildlife. Easy walk to the Nene Valley Railway and the Nene Way goes through the site. The facilities were clean, but we had problems with hot water in the showersView all reviews by djsut135
Need a site close to the A1 with a riverside location, on site fishing, great village pubs within walking distance, it's own station on the Nene Valley railway? This is it.View all reviews by romiesboy
Friends of ours have just relocated to beautiful lodge home on this site. It is going through a major redevelopment and upgrade. The old mill is being turned into luxury flats and new lock gates have been installed. It makes a pretty picture, especially if you are into wildlife.
The facilities are not the best and the price is quite high for what you get.
Peterborough and Stamford are only about 6 miles away and both make for a good day out.
Highly recommend the Angel Inn in Yarwell, a leisurely 10 minute walk. But don't eat all of the home cooked ham, I want some left for me.
