Arrived lunchtime to this great location overlooking the sea. We walked into town along the coastal path and back which was about 4 miles altogether. The grass area is now gated off for the winter but the hardstanding is just fine.
As from the 19th Oct 2018 all MHs are banned night and day from this site. They recently lost their blue flag and blame bad behaviour by some MHs for leaving human waste!!
Such a shame the actions of a few affect the many.

.when we arrived the grass area was full with about 15 mh's so we parked on the tarmac area with another 2. Car park busy during the day with a few cars in the evening eating McDonald's etc. All quiet by 10pm.
Easy level walk along the prom into cleethorpes taking around 30 minutes or you can take the miniature train from the car park to the leisure centre then the land train to the pier.
10 minute walk to a retail park with shops, pubs, cinema 2 pubs, kfc and McDonald's.
Great place and free

Found this on Search for sites as the only possible free camping around Cleethorpes. So drove over after grand daughter came out of school arrived 4:30pm ish to find quite a lot of space. Apart from you needing to pull your mirrors in to get through the gate a nice dry grass fields which is level. Access to Cleethorpes by the narrow gauge train (£4 return) site busy with arrivals most of the evening but not packed tight like a French aire. Beautiful views across the Humber to Spurn point

We have stayed here a number of times in the summer/Autumn. We found it to be a very friendly place and flat. Cars do mix in with the campers and that never caused a problem. Got chatting to a few car and camper drivers. The only problem we had was kids in cars late at night. Thinking it is funny to use their horns and skid around. Possibly quite a danger of van damage. In the summer months, they open up the small grassed area. Again both cars and campers. This is where we normally try and park

We had a lovely quiet night here, just us and two other Motorhomes. We live in Grimsby but was visiting a friend in Cleethorpes so we decided to check this site out - glad we did.

Stayed here one night last week, a friday night. Car park was quiet all night for us, no comings and goings. We wandered off into Cleethorpes at tea time, and wasn't back until around ten. When we got back there was another camper parked next to us with a generator on, so we moved to the other end of the grassy area so as not to hear it. Lovely sea views. Both grass and tarmac to park on, nice to find a free car park within walking distance of the town.

A lovely spot to park up, straight onto the beach, there were quite a few comings & goings but nothing to worry us until late at night (11ish)when a car arrived blowing his horn, flashing his lights, doing fast turns on the car park and shouting. This went on for about 10/15 mins, then they went away only to return 5 minutes later and started again, unfortunately on this occasion during his antics he bumped into our motorhome then drove off. It's a real shame because up til that point we thought it was a good place to stop. We will still park here in future, but only in the daytime, not overnight.

We've stayed here twice now, it's located at the end of a road behind Pleasure Island. It can get a little busy with comers and goers through the night but we didn't have any problems either time - though one driver thought it would be amusing to let us all hear his horn while he turned round in the car park. There's plenty of space for several motorhomes and no restrictions or costs for parking. There is a station for the miniature railway and a cafe nearby though I'm not sure how often the tiny trains run out of season. If you've got a dog, it's a lovely walk back into town along the beach, which I believe dogs are allowed on all year round right up to the swimming baths. The location is lovely, right on the beach/salt marshes, though you do hear the engines of ships during the night heading up the Humber.

Stayed here for two nights this weekend. Good access to coastal walks and excellent views across the Humber towards Spurn Point. The mini railway goes past and stops a short distance further along, and is handy for riding back into Cleethorpes. The footpath from the tarmaced area leads to North Sea Lane where there us an ecellent chippy and a pub that does meals. Access is also easy to the Pleasureland amusement park.
