The Beachy Head Hotel started life as the Queen's Restaurant in 1880 and became the Beachy Head Hotel in the 1890s. During WW2 it housed an advanced listening post when according to one local, nothing was served but mince and onions. Today we boast a much more appetising menu in a lovely setting with great views over Eastbourne Beach.

Just had a very quiet night (and a great meal!) at the Beachy Head Hotel. No charge for using their car park. No facilities but a great location! Note that the parking places are not level so you will need blocks.
Nice bar/restaurant that welcomes 'muddy boots and muddy paws' in the bar area only but you can eat the same food in the bar as they serve in their restaurant.
Good walks across the road but keep your dog on a lead because of the cliff edge!

Absolutely brilliant stop over. Fabulous walks where you will see some amazing views. The pub staff were very friendly and food was good and I thought it was reasonably priced. There are a couple of levelish places but you will need ramps. Parking was sheltered. One of my favourite stops so far.

Great stop over in prime tourist attraction area. Very welcoming. Vintage Inns chain are very dog friendly with treats available always. Phoned first & they suggested we park in lower car park at far end where there is plenty of room. They asked that we let the chaplain residency know that we were staying over as they patrol their beachy head area. We did this and they were fine.3 other band the night we stopped over.

Lovely quiet stop over in the countryside. The pitch were level and on hard standing. We were in the bottom car park. The views were stunning across the fields to the sea. Pub was great to eat and watch the sun go down. Food was reasonably priced. Staff were very pleasant and happy for us to stay the night.

Excellently place of park up and stay the night. Food typically gastro pub but reasonably priced.
Flat hard standing. Excellent walking 20 metres from carpark over the Downs to Belle Tout or Eastbourne.
Would definitely recommend and return.
As previously mentioned let the Chaplains know you are staying (due to popular suicide area) so you are not woken up at night.

Second time of staying at this location, great spot. Great food and pleasant staff. Arrived at 920pm this time only to be told the kitchen closes at 930pm when web site states 10pm. No hook up or water.

This is an amazing spot, flat and out of the wind. You feel protected and safe here, well away from the road. The pub is reasonably priced and there doesn't seem to be an obligation to buy anything but it would be rude not to. When you check in with them, they tell you to inform the chaplains that patrol the area so they know that you will be here in the morning. Beachy Head is a notorious suicide spot and the chaplains keep an eye on anything that looks suspicious.

Great Location and friendly reception to motorhome stop overs in their overflow car park. No charges for stopping over night. We had a very pleasant evening meal in the pub as a thank you for using their car park. Had the impression this wasn't a condition for our stopping.Make sure you contact the Parsonage office next door and register you are stopping otherwise you might get a knock on the door in the night to confirm your intentions. Apparently Beachy Head is the 2nd highest suicide location

food is good which is more than I can say for the service. they do lunch and evening set price menus which are great value. £4.05 s pint. great views and sunset. we did not bother with levellers for the night.

informed by the girl behind the bar that if we wanted to stay we would have to inform the chaplaincy. they are often out on patrol but you can see their 4 by 4 when they in the office (opposite entrance to pub). no services at pub carpark.

Had a nice meal at the restaurant (decent vegan options ????????) free to park in their over spill car park (relatively flat) if you eat or drink there. Woke up to the amazing views of the sea and cliffs, nice walk. No noise, nice and peaceful (was a tuesday night at the end of October). There are public toilets a short walk away but not sure if they are ooen all night. Would definitely stay here again (and eat).

Whilst we didn't stay here as we were with family in the town, en route to the Chunnel, this place really did look appealing. Right on the coastal footpath with plenty of hiking to be done and war memorials to view. There are two car parks and the one on the west side was definitely flat and great for mohos. East Dean is worth a visit, about 5 minutes drive down the road and Eastbourne only 10 mins the other way.

Great location for walking this popular section of the South Downs Way or visiting Beachy Head. Good food & drink and friendly Landlord, asked if we could stay over if we had a few drinks and got a positive response. Site was level and quiet after dark. Public toilets in the nearby pay & display car park open at 8.00 am. Also very informative Visitor Centre nearby.

fab spot. walks straight from the carpark out to beachy head and 7 sisters. Beautiful sunrise over the hills. Bus stop 2 minute walk away. Really lovely cafe just over the road (but not dog friendly) Lovely pub. Flat large carpark. Dog friendly. Felt safe (I am female travelling alone) Staff absolutely fine about me staying - just asked me to be gone by 11am the next morning.

Huge flatish area (needed half a chock.....) next to the pub with views towards Seaford and Newhaven.
Quiet location and fairly sheltered from the prevailing wind.
Excellent meal and extremely good value. Also a dog friendly area.
Walking distance from Beachy Head.
