Good stop over, just a pub car park next to a quiet ish road, can park far back into the car park to distance yourself from the road. Good price typical chain pub food.

Stopped over for the night as couldnt get on a campsite, phoned ahead but didnt need to, very accomodating and even said we didnt need to come in , but we did, had one or two adult beverages, very cheap compared to Devon.Parked in a corner near some grass for the dogs.. ideal for us..Thanks Pontygwindy!

Great find, good value food, sensibly priced beer and wine. friendly staff and customers, man with guitar (never our cup of tea) can't beat a live band but at least there was something. Locals friendly and lots there, dog friendly too.
loads of space for any size van.
Rated facilities low and view low but we don't care about that here as we didn't need either of them here

What a lovely stop! Landlady was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble! Food was good and so reasonable! Two meals for £10. And then we stayed for the quiz! Havent had so much fun in ages. Locals so welcoming, dog friendly and so much fuss made of our fur baby! Lovely castle in 15 mins walking distance. Cross the road to asda and walk along the Nant and through morgan jones park. Road is busy in the day but the car park is big enough to get away from the noise! They do breakfast too!!! Will definately be back!! Fabulous stopover!

Welcoming staff and locals. Large flat sheltered car park, next to a main road minimal traffic noise. Large Asda with petrol station round the corner. Brains pub with a good selection of real ales. Comfortable pub/restaurant with sports screenings. Decent pub food excellent value for money. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
Will definitely stay here again.

A great location to stay for walking into Caerphilly town to visit the castle. A fifteen minute walk or use the bus which stops outside the pub.
A large level flat carpark.
Staff very friendly
Had a lovely evening meal in the pub which serves the usual pub food .

As previous comments, Brains beer and food is great. Special offers like 2 for 1 on Mondays, they stop serving at 21:00pm. Easy enough to find. Large car park just off the road. Recommended

Grand place to stay, easy to miss the entrance to the large tarmac park. Good food at good prices. Asda store nearby, bus stop outside, and castle just 20 mins. walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Trees around the carpark so had to move the van to get a decent satellite signal.
