Our favourite campsite in one of our favourite locations. After dusk arrival to super friendly and helpful staff in early December 2018. Winter pitching is limited, only 1 of the 2 rather nice toilet blocks was open. The site is mixed electric EHU and non EHU, with designated tents only areas and the Pine Marten bar and shop nearby for all your basic needs. We were only 1 unit of about 5 on the site, choosing to pitch in the woods closer to Loch Morlich beach. Quieter than most, perfect for us.

Stayed for 3 nights in September. The Saturday night was noisy but there was a concert on at the Hilton Coylumbridge so people coming back to the campsite were still in party mode in the wee hours of the morning. Rest of the time was fine though. Facilities were satisfactory and clean. Didn't like the layout of the pitches though. All a bit scattered with some pitches in a crescent shape, then some more side on, then others two deep. Looked to be nice pitches in the forest though.

One of my favourite campsites. Facilities are lovely and clean and very spacious. Location is fabulous, with loads of cycle rides, walks, watersports and sights on your doorstep. Footsteps from the beach too. Off-road cycle route to Aviemore (Old Logging Way, 6 miles), walk to the Green Lochen and beyond, and we loved the reindeer hill walk with the reindeer centre over the road. Will definitely be back!

Really very nice. lovely location, plenty of activities available.
We stayed in the wood part of the camp. Really could do with a toilet block near by as it's a trip to the main shower block just for a wee.

staff are a bit of a jobs worth! also the shower block gets locked for cleaning from 1045 -1300 so plan your activities, daily routine!!

Brilliant campsite. Great for kids too.
Next to loch for water sports, great bike trails, lots of kids having fun in the site.
Two big washing blocks with clean toilets and showers, laundry, grey & chemical disposal.
All in all a great site

Large site set in the forest by the shores of Loch Morlich, just a stroll through the pine trees to the lochside beach.
Stunning views of the Cairngorm mountains and some lovely walks directly from the site.
Spacious pitches, stayed for 3 nights over Whitsun bank holiday so was expensive.
Although the site was full the toilets and showers were always clean while we were there.

Stayed for one night, good site in a stunning location. Great views and walks in all directions. Toilets / shower facilities very good. Good drive over MH service point. Didn't get to the Pine Martin bar, which just means I shall have to go back

Revisited this site after a few years break. Impressed with new shower block, under floor heating very welcome after a day in the ice and snow. Easy access motorhome service point, well done! It does make a difference. Perfect location for outdoor activities.

Had a hardstanding pitch. Took our black Labrador. Great Pine Marten bar just outside the campsite. Entertainment on Friday & Saturday. Children & dogs welcome. Also has small cafe, shop & a ski hire centre. Bus stops outside every hour, 5 minutes to the Cairngorms. Was fun to ski Scotland. Motorhome carpark at the top of the Cairngorms. Campsite next to a huge Loch. Saw our first ever red squirrel on the campsite. Huge toilet/shower area, warm & clean. Plus good motorhome facilities

Its the location that really sells this campsite. On the banks of Lock Morlich with its amazing beach and forest walks. Aviemore is a bit of a struggle for parking with the Motorhome so probably best to take the bus. If you are looking for a dog friendly bar and restauarant then check out McDuis. Very welcoming compared to most others.

What a fab little site. Staff are so helpful and the facilities are really good. Fantastic Loch side location and the views are to die for. Couldn't get TV signal so you will need your domes and dishes. Will come back here there's so much to do out of the skiing season too.

This is a lovely site close to the lake and its sandy beach. Pinemarten Bar on site with live music and good pub grub. Short drive to the funicular taking you all the way up to the top of the mountain .£11.00 each fare but worth every penny. WOW factor assured. Site is well maintained by very friendly staff. Tv reception ...Nil.

This is a good site in terms of facilities and has an excellent location in Caledonian pine forest, that's the kind with Scots pines widely spaced, not the conifer plantations, although there are some of those if you venture far enough.
The site has a bus service, about every hour, to Aviemore, 6 miles away, and to the car park at the bottom of the mountain railway and the skiing in the other direction. There are water sports on Loch Morlich, about 500 yards away and the reindeer herd about 500 yards away as well. Your mobile phone won't work unless you go for a walk may be a mile in the right direction, and there's no wifi. There are free WiFi cafes in Aviemore, just opposite Tesco is handy while getting supplies.
But the jewel at this site for me is the forest walks. You can do serious hill walking in the Cairngorms of course but i personally like the walk through Abernethy Forest to Nethy Bridge, about 10 miles, and you can catch a bus with a connection at Aviemore Station back to the site. Only drawback is the site is a bit expensive for me on my own compared with club sites. Still I've been several times over several years.

On the afternoon we arrived the weather was appalling it was certainly 'dreich'. Being out of the main season the reception was closed so we found the motorhome grey water disposal and 'serviced' our motorhome by dumping grey and black waste and filling up with fresh water. It is great to be able to drive over the grey water disposal point so good marks for that. We then bumped into one of the wardens who directed us to our pitching area. There was plenty of room for our 7. 5m vehicle on the stone chip hard standing.

The grassed areas were saturated but that is not the fault of the site, there had been a lot of very heavy rain.

Only one of the shower/toilet blocks was open as a section of the site was closed until the main season starts. This was not a problem as the block in the open area was very good indeed. Large, open and airy and very clean and warm. The reception area was open later in the afternoon. I did not check out the washing up and laundry facilities as we did not need to use them but they are a part of the same 'service' block.

The location of the site is fantastic alongside the woods and the loch which has a great sandy beach. This is a fantastic site if you have a canoe or bicycles as there are miles of cycle paths in the forest. It is also only a short distance from Cairngorm for skiers and the mountain railway. It is a great central location for exploring the Cairngorm region.

We will be coming back with our grand children who certainly enjoy the 'beach' and forest walks.
