Have just spent the weekend on the site and was very impressed with the standard of the facilities given the current situation. The staff(Ian and Susan)are both very friendly and helpful. A visit to the local icecream shop is a must. Only slight negative for us was the noise from the livestock haulage wagons passing by which are based along the road from the site. This however would not stop us from using the site again and would highly recommend it to anyone in this area.

great site in a great location, woke up in the morning, opened the blind to reveal the lobster fishermen checking their pots, its in a great location and just a short walk to the pub, all covid precautions in place, superbly placed right on the sea edge literally 30 yards from van to water, will definitely be going back.

A fine site, very pretty view. We had a front row view, a bit of a slope despite hardstanding. Toilets & showers were open & were ideal. A bit old fashioned but shower was lovely & hot. Wifi poor but we got by on books. Town is small butvharbour area very pretty with a great snug of a pub.

Had a great 3 days here. Views are excellent. Walking and cycling is also excellent in either direction along coast.
Facilities are old and basic but immaculately clean, functional and well organised for covid precautions.
It is a sloping site so any pitch with electric will require ramps but not a problem.
Local town has a good coop, fish and chip shop, excellent bakers and a local dairy ice cream shop which is absolutely a MUST.

Yes we echo all previous reviews, nice little site which is made by it's proximity to the cracking little town. The harbour pub is The Shore Inn which like the site is rustic but clean. Our stay was for the New Year where the site is in pole position to view the fireworks.

Arrived on the spur of the moment when wardens were not there. Notice gave tel no’s and a list of booked available pitches. Left messages for both wardens but they didn’t call back. So didn’t have wc code of WiFi code. Didn’t matter. We gotta front row pitch. Portsoy and the site are great. When we did catch up with the wardens they were nice. We would return. Good value and well kept.
(I didnt use the facilities so havnt rated fully - rIt was pristine elsewhere so should be good in the wc’s etc.)

Nice sea view. £18.50 inc electric. Not flat but not too bad. Hot showers and a large wet room. Short walk into nice town and two harbours.

What a great site! Stunning views, the toilet and shower block was kept very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. The pitches are not flat and we had to let our rear tyres down so that the fridge would work but aside from that we stayed an extra day as we loved it here so much, will definitely come back. Close to the town and shops, harbour and pub. Some great walks close by.

This has the potential to be an excellent site, however investment is desperately needed to bring it up to standard. GOOD POINTS - position is excellent next to the shoreline, wardens very helpful and friendly, the toilets are kept clean. BAD POINTS - toilet block very tired, chemical toilet emptying point is dire, the fresh water tap is directly over the grey water drain point, the site is VERY sloping, not too bad for caravans but if you have a motor home I don't think you will get it level . I would suggest if you have a motor home or camper, do without hook up and get a pitch on the other side of the road (which is actually nearer the beach with better view. If you are looking for somewhere to eat, the Station Hotel has a reasonably priced restaurant. The pub in the harbour, cant remember the name does a good pint but no food.
