Family. Campervan. We were a little disappointed with our pitch as it was away from the lake on the road and quite small. But we did only book the week before so for August I can't really complain. Busy, family friendly site. Canoing was fab (£6 per person). The lake was wonderful. Views stunning. Kids even WANTED to go for a walk! Food and bar if you like that sort of thing. Personally I think it's a bit unnecessary. Shop. Toilets and showers clean and well kept although often a queue for the toilet first thing and showers all day so they could probably do with a couple more for high season. Would definitely go back again but would book earlier to get the prime lakeside campervan spots.View all reviews by kathryn2804
Lovely location with fabulous views of the mountains and lake. Lake used for swimming and kayaking and having fun. Both easy and hard walks from the campsite. Snowdon Ranger bus will stop at entrance to pick up/ drop off for accessing walks or Beddgelert.View all reviews by barbandcol
Facilities for washing up are excellent - big under cover area with lots of sinks and plenty of hot water.
Shower block basic but clean - no private washing cubicles
Fresh pizza/ pies/ burritos different nights and also a bar ( outdoor seating)
A real gem in the Snowdonia national park. Great facilities and staff. Decent pizzeria, breakfast bar and outdoor bar on-site. Small shop for a few essentials. Fresh bread and croissants delivery each day.View all reviews by timharvey
There is black water disposal, but only for green loo chemicals (not elsan blue ). Greywater goes in the same place so needs to be carried and not drained
Best approach from the south due to a very tight and sloping entrance. There are places to turn if driving the beautiful pass is your thing.
The Motorhome hard standing area is at the edge of the lake but set away from the camping field so benefits from a little more peace
Hi all I'm 46 years of age and me and my wife stayed here with our dog, we had electric and the price was £4, the dog was £2, and me and my wife paid £10 each at a grand total of £26, my opinion I thought it was a bit over priced for February when there was builders there and no heating in the toilets but that's my opinion, would I go back yes because of the stunning location I can imagine in the summer it is a absolutely gorgeous place to run swim and cycle, I hope this helpsView all reviews by solarcamper
Visited in January 18 and we were the only van there. There were 3 tents at the far side of the site(Hardy people). Nobody in the reception when we arrived (hadn't booked).View all reviews by philfrommancs
Picked our pitch overlooking the lake. There are only limited spaces for ehu so for the summer months best to pre book. Warden called around 6.00 to collect fees. Facilities looked decent enough.
Beautiful scenery if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Will definitely revisit sometime.
Fabulous location, heart of Snowdonia, right on the lakeside. We were there for 3 very windy, wet nights in December. Completely disconnected living - no mobile signal or wifi. Facilities were adequate and clean. Campsite ranger very friendly - they visit twice a day in low season.View all reviews by bettie
