Second visit to this great motorhome stop. The owners are very welcoming, we didn't eat this time but food looked very nice, good selection of beers too. Set in a very picturesque area, great for country walks and a river nearby. Bala is 4 miles away and is a must visit. The car park is a bit snug and slightly sloping but no trouble really. Highly recommended!!

Phoned ahead, Martin reserved two spaces for us. Very warm welcome, good beer, tasty food, very good value. A peaceful nights sleep. I would recomment this stopover. (Didn’t have to eat in, but I’m glad we did!) Thank you Martin and Linda.

Fantastic traditional pub. Making the best of the covid situation, the outside seating with individual boobs are great.
Staff are very frendly and welcoming.

The B road to the pub is easly navigate table.

The car park is very quite at night, there is a dedicated to Motorhome spot that is the flatest but you my still need ramps.

Used this motorhome pub stopover the niggt before we were due to move into site in Bala. Called ahead and asked if it was ok, owner was friendly, called in to pub and had a few drinks but was too late for food. Left early the next morning, no facilities but easy convenient and free stopover

stayed over on the 26th of April in a small camper and managed to park fairly level, we never phoned on advance as we're not sure where we was going to park up! car park was quiet and we were the only ones in it so staying over wasn't a problem. we decided on having 3 course tapas for dinner which was really nice and good value for money.the pub was nice and friendly and made to feel welcome, nice log burner and decor. pubs dog friendly too. ideally located if exploring the Bala area . would definitely stay over again

Lovely little pub in the middle of nowhere. The postcode is further along the road so keep an eye out for the pub on the right as you go over the little bridge shortly after leaving Bala. Only accepts two motorhome because the car park is small, you need to ring beforehand. The food was typical pub grub albeit a little greasy but a very friendly couple who run the pub. No services but rubbish can be placed in the bins.

Had a great drive through the mountain from bangor to here. Ample parking in top car park behind pub / resturant / b&b. A little disappointed as I was hoping to get drinking some local / welsh ale but the only one available ran out as it was being poured. However we enjoyed a quality nibble and some drinks in this rural and relaxed stopover. Theres a book swap, games and a pool table. Some narrow roads nearby although they are of good quality and passable with care. No charge for parking although the business was appreciated. Not far from a river and a small village. Equally enjoyed the drive from here onto wrexham - great scenery and some wildlife to avoid hitting along the road.

What a loverly place to stop, and such a welcome. A quick call before we arrived and cones where placed out on the flatest area of the rear carpark. After parking up the owner popped out to see us and check all was ok. Seeing the dog with us he insisted that if we came in the pub the dog should come as well! We had an evening meal in the pub. Good food and friendly feel. The dog even had treats brought out to him. Good walks in the area with an old train line ideal for dog walking.

This is a great Britstop and highly recommended, the owners are friendly and accommodating. There were many locals and tourists when we stopped here and there was a great atmosphere. The meal we had was excellent as was the beer and the drinks. The car park is sloping but there are areas that are flatter and the Landlord was very helpful in cordoning off part of it for us to park (we called in earlier in the day). The cycling in the area looks very good too.

Lovely country pub, popular with locals, friendly licencees and bar staff, 2 real ales in excellent condition, good homecooked food from varied menu. Ring ahead and they will put bollards around the flatest parking spot in the car park for you. About 4 miles from Bala - just off the A494. Good stop off point between Midlands and North Wales.

This has to be the most dog friendly place in Wales; dogs are welcomed almost more than their humans! The hosts are superb, the food is good pub grub @ a reasonable price. The car park is sloping but it wasn't really an issue. Lovely log fire, very friendly locals & visitors alike. Spent a great afternoon in the pub - lovely hot chocolate with brandy! Very well attended considering its location & the weather and the time of year!

This is a great pub, warm and welcoming. The beer is from the Purple Moose brewery and changes on a regular basis. There is a good choice on the menu and the challenge is to be able to finish the Bryn Bara. The car park slopes but they keep the flattest bit for motorhomes. Near to Bala lake. Well worth a visit
