Drove in and my god how depressing
We left straight away and now parked at the most amazing place with a sea view and seals on the beach
So glad we left
Very disappointed with reviews that said this is a good place to stay

Great, safe and quiet spot. Given 7 out of 10 for facilties because the public toilet seemed to be open 24 hours. Fantastic view and a lot quieter than we expected because it was under A9 but had a great sleep. 2 pubs and friendly locals

A gem of a wildcamp spot. Great for an overnight stay on the sea shore. Cafe opposite a bit dated and pricey but ok. Town is lovely to a a stroll around.

Great spot for an overnight stop or longer if weather good. Weather was chucking it down and not a good day for driving. As others have commented the town has a couple of pubs, spar shop, fish and chips. Toilets in the town and water at the harbour.

what a fantastic find. stopover directly on the harbour with several real ale pubs in walking distance. if you are looking to eat during the day highly recommend 'the garrison' & if you stay over then you can even bring breakfast from the garrison over on a plate to have in the comfort of your moho. have a walk round the town visit the statue, see the history, have a fish supper or just whale/dolphin/walrus watch from the comfort of your motorhome.

will visit here again for sure.

Slightly sloping site, some noise from the road bridge above. Harbour life to watch and pleasent if not windy walks. Good pubs and excellent fish and chips close by.

Stayed 1 night passing through northbound. Quiet enough if not for the wind that night. Right by the sea/harbour saw a seal and an otter!

What a little gem! Cracking little site, about as close to an aire in atmosphere as you'll find in the UK. We loved watching the seals in the river and the gulls and cormorants playing at the harbours edge. The nearby Garrison tea room sold us some crab lines and we caught 20 from the river (put them back afterwards!). There us a water pipe at the harbour and public toilets up in the town. Will definately visit again!

Perfect stop for the night , you can sit in your van and watch the seals playing in the water right in front of you. The chip shop is a must for the hungry as they are the biggest portions I've seen. The A9 comes to life around 5.30am but not to noisy.

Lovely little town, couple of nice pubs, great fish and chip shop. We parked on the quay, but there's a fair amount of parking available here, think it gets quite busy, one of the locals told us there's sometimes 15 Motorhomes parked up. No facilities but we were allowed to fill up water on the quay.

Stayed here for an overnight and enjoyed a stroll around the village visiting the Museum and Information Centre, very interesting. Good level hard standing beside the river at harbour entrance. Accessed water from the harbour side after asking local fisherman.
