Nice big site, good facilities. Very cheap out of season, but not all facilities available. Lovely walks nearby, short walk into New Forest. Lovely pub close to Fordingbridge called The George, there is a short cut from site, reception can give you directions, otherwise the road walk is horrible. The other way is The Fighting Cocks pub, in the forest but nexf to road. Site has nice warm shower, toilet block. Howevef in the mens many didnt work.View all reviews by sallyw
Also falls down on recycling facilities.
Just returned from 6 Nights at Sandy Balls. Great site with great facilities. Half Term, so a little expensive but out of School Holidays very good value for money. Family site with a very wide range of activities. Would recommend eating at the Fighting Cocks Pub 10mins walk from the site - excellent pub food and ales. Great area for walking and cycling - we have been twice before and it never ceases to pleaseView all reviews by forrsite

Can't wait to visit again
Visited this site for the first time in September 2016 and can't praise it highly enough, particularly if you have a dog. Mid season, mid week prices are great value, particularly as it also includes access to the leisure facilities. On site, there are extensive walks through the woods and down to the river. Right on the edge of the New Forest, you only need to walk 5 minutes up the road and you are spoilt for walks. The site also has a number of shops where you can hire bikes, buy essential groceries etc, and 2 restaurants with take away menus. I could go on but for the price, facilities and location, it is one of the best campsites I have stayed on. I would unreservedly recommend it.View all reviews by sandymac
We have been staying at Sandy Balls regularly for over 30 years, the whole family love it, the site the walk down to the river, the penny arcade, our children, neices, nephews, used to go to the activities and the pool with dad and brother in law, and and we now have our grandaughter who is another generation who will go on to enjoy this lovely place, The New Forest outside and the town of Fordingbridge is worth the walk or if preferred by car also the site offers bike hire to fully explore.View all reviews by tanyaann
This site is outstanding. i say this based on our own visits as prices vary greatly according to season. in winter a fully serviced pitch on weekdays is £10 per night rising to £15 on weekends. At this price it's a bargain. Facilities are very good, all services are on your pitch. The price includes admission to the Leisure Centre, and a very good indoor swimming pool. Bar and food are very reasonable. A 20 minute walk takes you to the "Fighting Cocks" where there is also good ale and food.View all reviews by captgeoff
The price rating I'm giving is for the above.
