Last minute booking, 2 nights, fantastic staff, shown to our spot, all grass pitches, needed levellers only just. Lovely facilities. Good mix of tents, mh and cararvans. Great walks and cycleways around the area, inn next door but stopped food at 5.30 on Sunday, gutted, starving! Shop on site with basics and a bit of alcohol. Toilets and showers nice. Quiet at night, good site in the north forest. £26.50 with ehu just before Easter.

First time at this site for quite a while. Great site. Some sloping pitches needing chocks. 2.00pm check in and 1.00pm check out, much better than some sites. Very friendly. Fantastic facilities including underfloor heating in the toilet/shower blocks, but note they are closed between 11.00am and 11.45am for cleaning (separate toilet available at this time). BBQs allowed if raised from. Great pub next door. Good food. Lovely walks and cycle rides form site. Expensive but worth it.

Last minute booking , paid £28 for a night . Warm greeting from reception , no hard standing and arrived in the rain but they knew where to put us, pitches are slightly slanted but not too bad . Heated toilet and shower block was very clean, shop on site that you could pre order croissants, bread and newspapers . Pub right next door , had a meal which was lovely and good priced , drinks for me over priced, also for us its important to have wifi for work and there was no reception .

Great location, good facilities with pub right next door. Great area for walking. Quite expensive for a March stay.

Lovely location right next to the red shoot pub (great food n cider). Perfectly located for a walk around the forest and has a useful on site shop. The only downside was the grey waste disposal which had also been used for black waste and was blocked - we decided not to make use of this facility.

Lovely site with good facilities (underfloor heating in shower block) the pub next door is a real boon and we had a lovely meal there. The only down side was the grey water disposal which was disgusting having been used for black waste and blocked. We decided not to use this facility as I had no wish to put my grey water hose anywhere near it

Lovely site. The donkeys in the field behind were very friendly. The facilities are clean and warm. The grey water emptying space was tricky to use and obviously some people had used it for dirty waste. The pub next door had great food and a good band on one of our nights. Pitches can slope a little so bring your wedges! Lovely play area for children. The access to the forest is fabulous. We did the 4 mile walk and had lunch at the High Corner Inn. Will we go again? Yep!

We camped here last September during a South west Motorcycle tour and it was lovely, shower block was the cleanest we see and pretty much insect free. you can order papers and fresh bread for the morning from the shop. there are a few lovely walks from the site wick was lovely in the evening. Pub at the top of the road which i must say the deserts was lovely (didn't have a main we ate at the tent) . also has a micro brewery attached to the pub with some lovely looking local drink. Reasonable price and the pitches are well maintained and fairly level in most places.

Can be a bit noisy and camping spaces close together in busy times, but the walks from this site are wonderful and so accessible. Old oak forest, streams, high moorland and heather are all close by, and you can soon be in a quiet spot far from the crowds. Pub serves good food all day and right on the site. Toilet block clean. Stayed here many times over the years in tents and campervan and in all weathers, and enjoyed every time.
