£35.25 a night in August do didn't stay.View all reviews by trickyhicky270
A traditional campsite in a good position for visiting Southwold. Very few electric points. Facilities were old but fairly clean, I would have prefered to use our own shower but fresh water and waste points were few and far between. The cost was reasonable at £23 in July (without electric).View all reviews by joyet
Great site , a bit higidly pigidly re pitches in some ares, mainly in the middle ,but otherwise site is ok, showers x2 per block which to be honest isnt enough, but well maintained and clean.View all reviews by darenbranch
But the location more than makes up for any short comings, literally 5 minute walk to the lovely sandy beach ,harbour and 10-15 minute walk to the lovely town of southwold ,with all its shopd, pubs and old fashioned charm.
Definatly be coming back
Dog friendly too
Visited again. Very handy for Southwold. Some site improvements recently. It had rained a few days ago and the grass field a bit soggy but the hard standings with EHU just fine but cost appx 25 pounds and you may need to book. Close to beach and harbour.View all reviews by davebav50
Great location beside the harbour and within walking distance of the beautifil town of Southwold where you are spoilt for choice with loads of fantastic pubs and restaurants.View all reviews by stevef1968
Some hard standing pitches and some with elec hook-up.
Shower blokes are basic but showers are piping hot and have decent shower heads which makes a change from timed buttons and fixed heads.
The site is owned by the local council so the quality of the whole site reflects the lack of an owner loving it and investing in it.
Value for money? Not really but it’s tbe only option in Southwold so if you want to stay...
Not much i can add that the other reviewers haven't said. We arrived on a Sunday pm so had a pick of spots to choose from. The people in reception were very helpful and even came to check on us after 20 min. We opted for no EHU as it seemed quite expensive. It was warm so we didnt need the heater. We generally don't go for the big sites but the location of this one is absolutely ideal to explore Southwold.View all reviews by impi
Good campsite, beach accross the road and a short walk into Southwold,View all reviews by markroberts
This is the best camping option for Southwold. Adjacent to the dunes and beach where dogs are also allowed. A short walk along the beach into the town or use the minibus link or cycle. Nice large grass field. Toilet and showers blocks. Option for EHU at nearly £5 extra so we used our solar panel and Lpg. Also close to the quay with seafood shops and a pub. Parking accross the road if you only want to stop for the day. Nice but a bit overpriced for an old fashioned site, however we often return to it.View all reviews by davebav50
April heatwave visitView all reviews by cshel
Great welcome. Helpful Warden.
Not too busy but all EHU taken. Site hard-standings increased since last visit.
Lovely hot shower (no extra charge), but no chair to aid drying feet and putting on shoes.
Great location by beach within easy ride by bike to town centre.
If you want to camp at Southwold this is the place, there's not much else. it's a great location, across the road from the beach and a short walk to the town with some great pubs to choose from. Toilet-shower blocks are kept very clean, in season you'll be advised to book as it fills up.View all reviews by tightfart
Fantastic location, just across the road from the beach, around the corner from the harbour and a short walk into the centre of Southwold. Great site, friendly staff and dog friendly. The showers\toilets could do with updating but are adequate.View all reviews by btaylor
The location is very good with an easy walk into Southwold. Site is very flat but facilities a bit run down.View all reviews by kdolbear
