Stayed here while travelling north on M5, takes a bit of a rote through town as no northbound exit at J10 which is the nearest so off at J11, but an easy route .Pitches are at the end of car park and not too bad but we did bag the most level as we got here mid afternoon. Word of warning - this is a busy venue so would suggest you get here early or later on if its later in the week. Pub was very welcoming and the staff are friendly and the food is superb not cheap but well worth the price for the quality.
Rating for facilities view are an 8 as its obviously only a pub stop / car park but a very good and handy stopover.

Decent pub and decent grub. Bit on the pricy side but ok for a one-off stopover. Very civilised. And I would return.

Excellent meal (not cheap, but not over-priced either) and good, level parking - highly recommend. Although close to the M5, not that easy to get to from either direction, but well worth a visit.

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays and the pub was very busy and had a great atmosphere. Food and beer was brilliant. Staff very helpful. Car park very flat with a little traffic noise. We will certainly return

Fabulous pub and fabulous food. It is going to be mentioned in the 2017 Michelin Guide.
Pleasant pitches at top of car park with picnic tables - not much use for us as it was winter and wet but would be nice in the summer

Stayed here as a stop over on the way to Somerset, as it appeared to be easy access from the M5. We had booked a table for the evening the owner confirmed we could stay overnight on the car park but did warn us that the car park would remain busy until at least after 8pm. We arrived at 7 and true to word the car park was full which meant we had to park on the road alongside the pub. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which has a delightful atmosphere and ambiance. The meals are not cheap but not extortionate either (£52 for two mains, one pudding and a nice bottle of wine) . After the meal we sat outside in the beer garden and it wasn't until after 9 that a suitable spot became available - there were other parking spaces but we waited until a spot furthest away from the pub and next to the open fields became available. There was some noise around 11pm as the last drinkers were leaving but that is expected if your parking on a pub car park, after that, we slept soundly.
Access is not as easy as it looks on the map, if you are coming off the M5 south, you cannot turn right off the motorway and have to find a suitable spot to perform a U turn or turn left into Elmstone Hardwicke and go around the back. Rejoining the M5 South is also not straightforward and there is a leaflet explaining the best route available at the pub. Overall an ideal pub stopover.
