Pleasant place but could do with a bit of TLC. Graham is a really nice guy and makes you very welcome. Found the food reasonably priced and of average quality for a pub. A steal at £10 a night with electric.

I was in the area for a job interview and needed a cheap location to stay. Due to the wet weather I had to put my campervan in the car park, which was absolutely fine as the hook up was just over the fence. Graeme the owner is very nice, friendly and willing to help in any way he can. To me it felt like a safe place to stay as Graeme lives on site and there are also a number of other houses around too. The only negative issue I had was with the food, to me it was expensive for what you got and the quality of the food was very poor (I think Graeme needs to get a new cook).

Very nice overnight stop. We arrived quite early in the afternoon and the Pub wasn't open, so we found the water point by chance and topped up. We were told in advance where to park and as the paddock area was very boggy, we were allowed to park in the car park and could still easily reach the EHU points. We went for a good walk along the Thames and Severn Canal through some great scenery and waterparks. There was a quiz night on the Fri which we did very poorly at, but never the less were made to feel very welcome by Graham the owner, who, by the way is bonkers!!!LOL. Food was very good and very reasonably priced. We left quite early in the morning after a quiet nights sleep. Well worth a return visit - May leave out the quiz next time.

Stayed here for one night to check the facilities in advance of the Air Tattoo at Fairford.
Nice country pub in small village serving basic 'pub grub' that is reasonably priced. Landlord is friendly and very welcoming.
Parking field is a bit unkempt and could do with regular mowing. I should imagine it gets quite boggy in wet weather. As we were the only visitors that weekend we parked in the gateway with the drive wheels on the hardcore. Some traffic noise from the A419 road but not too distracting.
Good walking in the area and Cirencester is worth a visit if a little difficult to find a parking spot (we ended up behind Waitrose)
