The campsite has some green areas for those that are looking for more shade and some with less green for those who want to enjoy the sun.
There are pitches for caravans and camping-cars but our campers are also free to park their caravan / camping-car or camp wherever they like, with a good coverage of electricity points throughout the site.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location 15 mins walk to Alvor and 25 mins to beach. Small but usable outdoor pool. Would be a great option for over winter. Alvor is great for eating and plenty of bars. Pingo doce supermarket next door. The site is a bit run down but worth the ACSI discount rate of 15 euro IMHO. We will go back.View all reviews by chrisnian
Would struggle with anything over 8m
Pleasant site with a pool. Facilities are basic but clean. Some pitches are on slope. Nice walk into Alvor with lovely beach and lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We caught the bus to Lagos which is worth a visit.View all reviews by margaretwhelan
Acsi price €15 without acsi card for 2 people motorhome elec and dog would have cost us around €30! Wasnt worth the €15 with acsi imo. The pool and location is the best bit about the site. Tried showering no hot water at all in ladies other half managed to get hot water in 1 mens shower. Not the cleanest of showers. Full of over wintering brits and oddly makes for some uncomfortable feelings. Reception was unwelcoming and again as others have mentioned pitches are sloped and tight.View all reviews by hannahjones687
Campsite on outskirts of Alvor and built on a very steep hill. You would struggle if you have mobility problems. Pitches are very disorganised and showers/toilets have definitely see better days. However on the plus side they are very clean with loads of hot water. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Supermarket round corner. Town of Alvor one of nicest Portuguese towns visited. Came for 2 nights stayed 7!View all reviews by moi57
I agree with other reviews of this site, it's not well managed at all, the facilities are clean and basic. the big plus for us was the location. Alvor is fantastic, lots of great places to eat, fantastic beach, longs walks with our dog. good supermarket very close by. I agree its not posh and the on site café is aimed at brits (yuck) but you can take or leave these elements of the site. Staff are helpfulView all reviews by janeyb
Only stayed for one night €13 with ACSI in October. Very few dedicated motorhome bays other than that it’s park where you can find a gap which were very few and as our chassis is low we had trouble getting over the kerbs. Showers were dated but plenty of hot water and kept clean. Very hilly if you’re not good at walking. No charge for swimming pool which looked very nice. Close to bars and restaurants. Didn’t know about the aire on the beach until after booking in hereView all reviews by sgoodacre
Would not write a review just because I returned to a site but there have been some changes here since early 2016. One area which in the winter of 2015/16 was all motorhome/caravans - the old farm area - is now full of mobile homes and chalets. So now even less space for motorhomes and caravans. The site has been tidied up and lots of new signs. Everything pretty much as it was apart from prices have gone up. It used to be cheaper with the site discount after 5 nights than ACSI but now €13 ACSI.View all reviews by spartans2015
used this site . 2015/2016/2017, 3 times now. every time it gets a little dearer. generally the site is good, hilly on 3 levels,View all reviews by tonybateman
not good if you are not good at walking up hill. top sites are user friendly, but normally full with long stays..the time definitely not to go is, july and august..as a previous review says, there are very few dedicated motor home pitches, and absolutely no dedicated camping pitches, which means during these months tents are so densely packed around you, it is virtually impossible to get your motor-home out, if you can indeed get it in.
However it was a good site to use off season..bar is mediocre, but cheap, pool is too small, and at 3.50 euros a day not worth it.rates at the mo are around 21 euros a night, with electric, which carry a 50% discount if you stay 5 nighs or more, used to be three, Wi-fi at lower end of the site, is very poor but its free.Toilet blocks are clean, washing machines on site, and dryers
Sadly for us its our last stay, here, they have gone almost to Spanish prices, no longer value for money, for a short stay, which is a shame. as Alvor is a great place to go, as yet not spoiled by developers. small enough to be nice enough is what we say..better to pitch up on the Aire down on the Harbour, at 4,50 a night its not as good but cheaper, and you cant get much closer to the sea or town that this.
A site on 3 different levels. The middle and lower right being more open while the lower left having more tree cover. Biggest problem is that there are no marked pitches. Therefore some people take to 'fencing off' their area with ropes etc. and if you don't others will arrive and have no hesitation in parking immediately adjacent to you. The facilities are old but are well cleaned and there is ample hot water. The bar is rather dated but great vfm. The town of Alvor is close at hand with many shops, restaurants etc. great walks and views across the land opposite the site. Given the cost, location and facilities all in all a very good site.View all reviews by spartans2015
