Nice little site in a wooded area. 2-3 minute walk into Ruswarp which is a lovely little village. Also boating and fishing along the river. There is a path/cycle track into Whitby alongside the railway line and river. A steam train passes by a few times a day. Easy bus or train service into Whitby.View all reviews by artiechappie
Motorhomer from Wells, Somerset. Lovely small CS site which I spotted whilst enjoying a steam train ride from just across the river. As others have said, good location. Basic site but clean and tidy with ehu, water, waste, chem empty point and rubbish recycling. Nice pub just down the road and easy walking to Whitby along side railway track. Friendly welcoming owners. £17 pupn incl ehu. Well worth it.View all reviews by oldsoldier

Simple hard standing CS with electric hook up, black and grey waste disposal and separate fresh water. Water tap is at opposite end of site to disposal point so no chance of anyone contaminating it cleaning out their cassette.View all reviews by kathkelson
We liked the site, and the owner (Jean) popped down to say hello and collect our £16. Short walk to pub, which does food. Level crossing wasn't an issue. Didn't hear trains.
Local butcher does hot filled breakfast rolls.
Lovely setting. Quiet. Close to Whitby.
This is out in the countryside, very small site on pebbles but back in nature with trees all around the parking. There is a small stream running along the back. There was a train line nearby but it did not bother us. The river is just across the road and if you walk into the village turn right before the station and there is a good path taking you right into Whitby. If you like getting back to nature you will like this site. There is only water, EHU and Chemical Waste disposal. For the drinking water tap though you have to have a very long water pipe. Only spoke to the owners on the telephone, they said they would come down but if they didn't they just said find a spot. Owners never came so arranged to leave money in a place for them. Would go here again unless I found somewhere cheaper. At £15 I thought it was a bit steep.View all reviews by giddylynn
