What a unique tranquil site. We booked into this site for 1 night as we were travelling down to Wales. The welcome was very friendly and helpful. The site is set in an old quarry which part is filled with water and is very picturesque. There is no shower block on site. There is not much around the site but for us as a stopover it didn't matter. They have lovely walks from the site. I would definitely go back for a chill out break.

We wanted peace and quiet in a rural setting and that's what we got in spades. It was like we had the site to ourselves, everyone was silent throughout the day. Heavenly. Probably the lack of toilets and showers supports the peaceful nature of the site. We can't wait to go back.

First site we ever stopped at with our caravan.
Great place, not too formal as other sites, with a choice of pitches (which didn’t appear to be marked out in any way)
Fishing lake on site, plus woods adjacent for dog walking.
No toilet facilities which makes it less popular than other sites but that is probably for the better.
